^This! For example, my stock bottom end LS1 (PRC Heads, MS3) went 10.0's and in another car it can't break out of the 11.50's. The guy I sold it to has no suspension, not much weight reduction, and not enough converter. That's the story of many decently sized and built motors on this forum that are stuck in mismatched combination cars.

My car needs a diet! You're a whole second faster. Besides an extra 300+ lbs removed from your car, have you changed anything else since your 11.0 pass from the stock ci list? My setup is similar to your old one.

Yeah I changed a lot from that 11.0 pass to the 10.0 pass. I went from a 4L60E with a tight Vig 3600 to a 2.75 first gear TH350 with a FTI 8" 5100 stall. Also, I had no suspension before except for a crappy aftermarket torque arm. I changed a lot more than that but you can look up my build thread and see what I'm talking about. No motor changes were made so it's a good example of how to optimize a combo.

Want to run 10's NA in a 4th gen? Its easy, minor bolt-ons, a 4:56 gear and a 4800 stall will get you there fast.....you will run 10's but the car wont be worth a **** as a DD. Having the best of both worlds gets expensive, especially N/A. Spray it and be done.

ported 5.3 heads, a decent sized cam, and a good stall should have no problems getting you into the 10's n/a.

Don't even get me started on 10 sec n/a 5th gens. Most of the owners are ******* idiots, too busy bolting on blowers to run high 11s to actually figure out how to make the cars fast.

Very interesting reading some of this stuff. Maybe I'll go 10's this year NA.
