Tire psi and shock settings seemed to be good for the very first time out netting a 1.44 60 on the 2nd launch. My 1st launch I got a 1.50 60 ft. The pass side rear shock was almost full tight and driver side rear shock almost full loose lol. So I evened those up to a base setting and got a 1.44 the next time out. Haven't been back to the track since
Is it possible to lose mph with too tall of a gear? I am planning to step down to 3.90s or 4.11s since I plan to spray 150-200 shot. Previous guy had 4.11s. Even with my street tires I only trapped 127-128.
Going to try and take it to Vengeance Racing probably for a re-tune for the custom intake and see if they'll track test it for me and get it trapping what it should. I can feel that it's not pulling as hard as it should up top judging by the dyno sheet it should scream.

I'm already shifting around 7000 rpm or at least trying to. **** happens fast with 4.30s lol.

What's your race weight? I know my car is down on mph due to the heat and humidity.. Have you run it in good air yet? I know i'm 4-10ths and 4-5mph slower than in good air.. Hope this helps man good luck..

Ok just weighed the car in street trim with all the seats in and 3/8 tank of gas... 3340 lbs.
So for the track I am estimating around low 3200s and then add 200 lbs for me. This is with all the seats removed, Kirkey in place of driver seat, and slicks/skinnys.
Not sure how to get it any lighter at this point without cutting a bunch more out.

Yea I am hoping to get in the low 1.4xs maybe even high 1.3xs with this suspension/tire setup on motor. I didn't have a 2 step when I made those passes but I got the MSD one on there now ready to go so that'll be one less thing to worry about. Also got some new suspension settings to try.
I really don't feel like running it again until I get a new tune and injectors minimum, and possibly a vacuum pump kit. Injector duty cycle is 105+% right now, stock LS7 short style 42lb'ers.

I just noticed your new post ... "she" looks good (I guess that's the same video you sent in May) and hope you get it sorted out. I have not been to the track since the end of May ... https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...-run-vids.html .... and even then the DA was in the 2,600's. At least my wife got to try out her new 1080P camcorder.
I have gotten a chance to install fresh plugs and wires and will be replacing the fuel filter and starting to install my Strange DA fronts this weekend and then it's back to the track for a few runs. Hopefully, the DA will come down in the next few months to see what it can really do with my full suspension.

How long has it been since you had the car tuned? I had the same
Issue my first time out at the track this year. I was down almost
10 mph. Got re-tuned and picked up 80-100 rwhp.
It's kinda common with our cars. The tune gets f'd up after a few years.
After the tune it was like a new car!

Ok well after sitting down finally thinking about it I think the main reason for my loss of mph is from lack of fueling. I don't know why I didn't realize it before. For some reason in my head 105% duty cycle from the 2 logs I did seemed like a glitch/mistake to me. My fueling system I have had up to this point is as follows: single Walbro GSS340 255lph fuel pump, Lonnies 8an fuel rails, and stock LS7 injectors, stock GM wiring powering the pump. No wonder I have high injector duty cycle now that I think about it. The single pump can't keep up in the higher rpms.
So this is what I have done to remedy the situation. I am currently installing a dual intank Walbro GSS340 fuel pump kit from Sho-MeSpeed, new fuel filter, electronic fuel pressure gauge, Fast 65lb injectors, a Racetronix hotwire harness for one pump, and I will be making another DIY hotwire kit for the 2nd pump which will be triggered by an RPM window switch, specifically MSD 8969. Then I am going to take it to Vengeance most likely for a retune.
