FULL WEIGHT M6: MS3 Cam Only + Spray = 10.51@128.58
It feels GREAT to end the season on a high note. I went back to Rockingham this weekend with hopes of getting a few passes in and running a 10.99. I came home with a bunch of mid-10 second timeslips.
The day started solid but with a bit left to be desired. The track wasn't packed so I had ample time to get 8 or 9 passes in, which worked out great for all of us. Jonathan, the suspension guru at Tick Performance (5LTREATR on this board) was nice enough to come to the track with me and watch the car getting out of the hole - after each pass he made a few tweaks and changes, and as a result after each pass, the 60' kept getting lower and lower.
Bests on the day:
Race weight: 3700lbs even
MOTOR ONLY:
60': 1.62
1/8: 7.537
MPH: 97.29
1/4: 11.615
MPH: 116.78
150 SHOT:
60': 1.421
1/8: 6.714
MPH: 102.78
1/4: 10.511
MPH: 128.58
The best 60' of the day was a 1.40 - unfortunately I missed second gear big time on that pass. Might that have been a 10.4x pass?
The setup is EXTREMELY simple - it's a 98 Camaro SS with a 6speed and a Moser 9" rear with 4.11 gears. Cam, FAST90/90, Pacesetter headers and a TNT 150 shot. We've got this FULL WEIGHT SS car being shifted to mid 10s with 100% stock longblock/internals, and 100% stock 98 heads that have never been off the car.
I can't thank Tick Performance enough for all their hard work and dedication with my car. I'm EXTREMELY hard to please and they have not fallen short one time with any of the build, and I brought them this thing 100% stock. If attention to detail was an art, I'd call these guys Leonardo da Vinci.
I also have to thank Alvin @ PCMForLess for his tireless dedication with the tuning aspect of the car. Mine is the most tempermental car I've ever seen, but Alvin is there with me every step of the way making sure everything is spot-on and perfect. I couldn't be happier with the performance or the driveability of this thing.
Over the winter I'm going to replace these garbage stock parts with some decent stuff and see if we can't go nines with a similar combination.

Great times! Are you running a stand alone fuel system for your NOS ? I melted 3 plugs and burnt a valve when I upped my shot from a 75 to 150 with my TNT kit. I ordered up my stand alone fuel system so I can spray more with out leaning out. The guy's at tick are great, I met them at the LS1 vs. LT1 shootout at E-town this past oct. You must have had some great air running this late in the year. Congrats Keep the stick
