Weighed my car yesterday, 3208 lbs with my 215 lb *** in it steel rollbar, passenger seat, stock hood and large battery in it. Should drop another 100+ lbs once my sunoco hood, odyssey, chrome moly bar, and pass seat are out.

It's not hard to do, it just takes time. Still have airbags, also have a 9" rear.... But I did thinngs a little different, old school tricks to save weight, I narrowed my rear 4" per side and use a deep backspace wheel. That saved 18 pounds, some of that was rotating mass as a 35 spline axle is quite heavy....

Im guessing the car should go 10.70's or so next time out, traction shouldnt be a problem any more..

Also, I did make my own bumper supports, but nothing is cut on the car, aside from my rear bump stops for tire clearance.... So I wouldnt say that it's unsafe... Probably more safe, less mass, same structural strength...

That pass was in my full weight '01 SS with a 4,600DA and 1.76 60' with tractioion and weather t would be closer to low 11's
