LT's, TD's, FAST 90/90... and everything else you can bolt on. Those numbers were through a 9" and steel DS too

That's great! What is your car's weight and with you in it? When they say race weight they mean car only? Mine is 3580. I was debating whether to swap to the FAST since I am out of bolt-ons. The 9" with 3.70's goes in Saturday so I am hoping to be 11.8-11.9 next time out. I want 11.5-11.6

Yeah, it's the weight that you are actually going down the track with.

Darn. My car alone is 3580 and I go 220 which is my 3800 lb. race weight. I don't know how people are getting to 3500 lbs. with person inside. Couldn't be much of a streetable car. First accident would be a crazy experience!

When I first got my car it was 3780 with everything in it from the factory, 40 lbs of stereo stuff, completely full tank of gas, and me (~230 lbs).

Take away the stereo, most of the gas, spare/jack and front sway bar, and it would be around 3600lbs raceweight. A set of drag wheels is another 50lbs. Then most mods are lighter than their stock counterparts. Lid, headers, removing airpump/egr. Most take out there back seats that's 25-30lbs.

You're car runs pretty good to be that heavy. What are you carrying around to get it that heavy?

Mine was 3520 with me in it on the track scale. That was no swap bar up front, no rear seats or belts, jack, spare and etc.

Everything! LOL

I have a Subthump with 10" sub, sub rack with one amp, spare tire, jack, A/C, ABS etc... Nothing removed! I also ran it with 1/2 tank of gas since it looks like the 60's were better than with around a 1/4 tank of gas. I didn't weigh it with the Billet Specialty wheels but it might have been 3550 on the night I ran the 12.1. It's either add some more power or take some weight out without making it unsafe to get that 11.5.

The 9" goes in Saturday with 3.70's and the torque arm and cross member are much lighter than the UMI pieces. I hope this swap with the gears cuts .2off and gets me in the 11's @114 or so.

Thanks... I didn't know if I was running good or not. I see others going mid 11's and think WTF am I doing wrong. It comes out hard just don't have the MPH. I may do the short belt too to see if that helps.

Took all the interior and ac out. I think the car weighed 3110. It's lighter and faster now but I need to run it in some decent weather.

What gears in your 9" and did they gain you anything over stock?

4.11's... I changed a lot of other things when the 9" went in so I cant tell you how it gained. Now that I've got it to hook up on the street though it pulls like crazy in 1st, havent found anything to keep up (from a low roll)... Not that it matters anymore though

My G8 weighs about 4000 lbs and has a 292 gear. We're at 433hp with
403tq. I only have 1900 miles on the car and it ran a 11.95 with a 3200 stall and DRs.
