I wanna see what I need to do. I was hoping that it would take a big stall, good gears, lt's & some weight reduction. What all do you have done?

Just had a little discussion on this in this thread today:
11's Stock Internal

I think it is pretty easy, big stall (4000-4200), minor suspension mods, headers, lid, cat back, and some sticky tires. I did it near full weight.

Check out my info at the streetsleepers page for some pics/vids/info.

Good luck!

i'm getting real close with only a vig 3200 and an ls1 edit, it has 3.23's and manifolds, my best pass is 12.30 when it was 85 and 80% humidity, on a cool dry day that would have been about a 12.0-12.1

Im hoping to be there when good weather comes around. Lid,Ls6,Longtubes,O/R Y,Cabtack,3.42s,dyno tune. Previous owner went 12.1 without the ls6 and tb. Im hoping to do it a little later in the year when good racing weather comes around.

Thumbs up

I did it (barely LOL) with a lid/thermostat/free mods, tuning, Vig 3600, QTP long tubes/ORY, LS6 intake, ASP pulley, drag radials/skinnies and some weight reduction.
Stock 3.23s, stock cat back (cut out), stock internals.

I think the key is getting the 60' down to around 1.50-1.55. Ya'll are flying in those A4's.

Yes that definitely helps, I squeaked in there with a 1.62 sixty foot but certainly 3.73s would help me get some much needed 1.5s maybe.

I'm hoping to be there once I get my headers installed and some cooler weather finally filters into eastern NC. Mods are PT4000 converter, 3.90 gear, UD pulley, 26 x 9.5 x 16 Hoosier QTP's on some salad shooters and an LS6 intake. Funny thing is that cooler weather and some weight reduction would probably have gotten me there even w/o headers.

I've ran a best of 12.3 before my longtubes and ORY, and skinnies. The bald nittos only managed a 1.74 60'. So with the new mods, some new tires, and cool air, I'm sure I'll see some 11.9's or 11.8's.
I have a 3800 stall, full exhaust, LS1 intake, underdrive pulley, tuning, LCA's, and a home ported TB.

With a big converter and good tires, it can be done, but I wouldn't call it "pretty easy." If it were that easy, everyone would be running in the 11's and that's just not the case.

Check the title again. I think the 125 shot is a disqualifier for NA (naturally aspirated).
