Unfortunately my friend has had problems trying to extract the video from his camera due to software that couldn't recognize the digital disc in the camera and after copying them to a computer hardrive and deleting the original camera files, the PC files appear corrupted so I may not ever be able to post the video's so keep your fingers crossed that the corrupted files can be deciphered!
Bottom line:
Here's the quick and dirty running with my Hoosier QTP DOT street tires and a mild 3900/4000RPM takeoff with the DA in the +1000 to +1100 range:

I made a total of 4 passes. I let the air down to 14.5 lbs in the Hoosiers before starting the runs. The first shakedown run was leisurely 12.276 @ 119.17MPH with a 2.10 60' time since I made a stoplight takeoff to test traction and wound up hitting the fuel shutoff (7100 RPM) shifting into 2nd gear even though I shifted at an indicated 6600RPM on my tach (there appears to be a bit of “tach lag” like the ’06 ZO6’s experience). What you also need to realize is that this was truly the first opportunity that I have had to nail the car to WOT through all of the gears since I have had next to nothing for traction on the street. I was grandma shifting also to ensure that the ZO6 clutch would be grabbing good and enabling for crisp shifts without sticking or locking up.
The 2nd pass was made in the same fashion except leaving the line about 3500RPM, slipping the clutch and dropping the shift point to an indicated 6500RPM. The motor bogged (since traction was good) and this netted a 12.059 @ 120.56 MPH and a 2.03 60' time.
Now that my confidence level was elevated due to the good clutch control and the fact that the car would not go sideways during gear changes I was ready to push it a little harder!
On the 3rd pass I lined up against a bone stock yellow C6 Corvette with an LS2 automatic (very nice guy!). It was time to concentrate on the launch and pay attention to crisp shifts! I left the line at about 3800 RPM, and since I didn't nail it right away the motor bogged just a bit and I was on my way to a 1.847' 60' time and my first ever 11 second pass netting an 11.732 @ 121.52 MPH!!!
On the last pass, I had the line official walk over to my car and give me a verbal warning
that if I ran any faster that I would need additional safety equipment or face getting the boot. I confirmed that if I kept it to an 11.50 ET or slower that I would be okay and he gave me a dirty look and said “okay”. I lined up against my friend Steve Barker (who has been kind enough to let me use his personal chassis dyno to run my car on) in his absolutely beautiful ’67 red C2 convertible (hardtop on for racing of course!) and I launched at about 3900-4000 RPM synchronizing nailing the throttle as I popped the clutch. This netted a bit of wheel spin (felt like the right side!) but the car pulled well out of the hole as evidenced by a 1.793 60’ time. I hit 2nd gear hard shifting at 6500 RPM, experienced a bit of wheel spin but was able to keep the car straight. I slammed 3rd gear at 6500 RPM and hit a good crisp shift as well at 4th gear at 6500 RPM. I was rewarded with an 11.521 @ 121.66 MPH pass
Decided that I shouldn’t push it since 11.49 was only 0.03 seconds away and went home early for a change!
What really shocked me after the fact was that while airing up the Hoosiers in the pits, I noticed that the area’s behind the tires (the tail pipes and quarter panels) reveals absolutely no signs of rubber on the drivers side of the car! It appears that the posi unit in my 8.5" rear end is toast
Further review of the video tapes also suggest that the drivers side tire is not doing any kind of real burnout. Time for a Detroit True Trac!
Hopefully once I am able to tune the motor for optimum power with my HPT software I can delete the MAF and go to speed density tuning which I am estimating should add another ~3+ mph to the trap speed which when combined with a hard launch, true posi and sticky tires should have this car knocking on high 10's with an LS7 in virtually complete stock form in a 3600+ lb daily driver street car

I'll find out for sure when I weigh it tomorrow but I suspect it was close to 3650 with driver when I raced it due to the 5/8 full fuel tank.
The factory redline is 7000 RPM and the factory fuel shut-off is set at 7100 RPM
I'd guess low 10's @ 131++mph!!!
what does your car weigh with driver John?
I thought they had a 7,000rpm redline?
Nice trap speeds. I'm really excited now to try out our LS7 SS with 100 more hp and 100-200lbs less.

I just got back from weighing the car in strip trim (just like it was raced with 5/8 tank of fuel) and to my surprise the car weighed in at 3320 and with me in it 3520

Newbie here to the forum. Wow! I love it ... another "Heavy Chevy" into the 11's on DOT rubber!
My brother recently bought a new Z06 and I've driven it several times. That LS7 "mill" is a technological thing of beauty that gives both un-gawdly performance and can return over 30 mpg loafing along on the freeway.
Gotta ask: You say 487 rwhp ... What's drivetrain loss on your car? Even if it's only 15%, that computes (487/.85) to 573hp at the motor. I know the LS7 is conservatively rated at 505, but to be almost 70hp shy sounds a bit much. I know dynos can vary considerably, but can you explain why (maybe?) the big difference?
I say another above 'cuz I have bone stock appearing '57 Bel Air "sleeper" that's gone 11.79 at 114, weighing in at 3800 with my 200 lbs included. A healthy 408ci small block coupled to a column-shifted TH400, with 4.10 gears and some DOT M/T ET Streets does the trick. It's 1.62 60-foot, pulling the left front about 4"-6" in doing so. Go here for pics.
Anyway ... CONGRATS on the great pass. Welcome to the 11's!
