Default What MPH are you guys seeing for high 11 sec passes?

Im working on getting my cam only LT1 into the 11's soon, and I was wondering what mph is needed to get there? on my shakedown run my car had a lot of problems: full weight, full tank of gas, i was running on 7 cylinders #7 plug was almost falling out pinning the wire to the header primary, trannny shifting @4k rpm in 1st and 2nd, really eased it off the line, bank 1 extremely rich and bank 2 extremely lean, also on street tires. No excuses but I was wondering what the car's potential is?

two runs and both were shitty with 2.3 60ft, 89mph 1/8th, and 13.4-13.6@109

Now im running draglites, !interior, !swaybar, and m/t et street radials. I have cut 1.71 60ft's with just LT's, stall, and et streets so I know the car can hook on some stickies.

what do you guys think?

Holy crap that's hooking. I am hitting consistent 117.8's and can only get a 12 flat.

I am a 6 speed with the first time hitting the track with my current setup.

I went 11.84 @ 117.19 on ET streets launching at 5500-6000rpms but I cut a 1.57 60'. Too bad I killed the clutch on that run. I need some more seat time and I am sure I can get my ETs down to 11.50s or maybe better with some smoother shifting.

I am at full weight, 17x9 front wheels with 275 wide tires, and road racing suspension.

for an auto your launch is going to make you or break you. autos dont need as much mph to see high 11's, with weight pulled cam only my 02TA went 11.9 at 109mph. yea thats your currnet mph.. frustraing right?? I was cutting 1.5 60's using a 44oo stall, weight and 60's should be well in mind for your goal, Good luck, you shoud see mid 12's easy if you can manage a decent 60' 1.6 or so. And you deff need to work on your tune. your cam will pull alot more mph if it can turn faster than 4k

your sig says Built 355?? Anymore info there??

well think of it this way a perfect setup car running 120mph is 11.00 so about the lowest you can go with no error is 110mph for 12.00...right not i should be e.t. ing perfectly a 11.46...all due to the size of converter... gears...and traction...oh well .26 off from perfect isn't that bad...

my motor has Eagle 5140(??) crank , Eagle SIR 6" rods w/ARP bolts, and SRP forged pistons, stock heads milled with minor work, LE2 cam, COMP valvetrain, and all the bolt-on's. My car will easily cut a 1.6 60ft and should trap maybe 112+ at least after I finish working out the bugs. I also still need the 12bolt, 4.11's and a little more stall before im done with it. Once I get everything working N/A then im adding a 200shot of the giggle gas.

Oh and BTW the timers might have been off becuase the 89mph does sound a little high, but IIRC it could have been 87-88mph for sure though. i will have to dig up that slip, and double check.

sounds like you just need a good tune, and a converter would realy help and is a must in my book for drag, to pick up in your powerband and make a better 60' easy its essintal. just keep your fingers crossed for that 10 bolt seeing the bottom end id built youve already got a good foundation for a possible power adder 2 if its still not fast enough.. what car is...

aside from some tuning, my ignition took a dump yesterday so I've got to track that down. Im hoping its just a wire or something simple and not the damn opti. I dont think my car will trap very high, but i do hope I can drop my et with the addition of a 4k stall and 4.11's. It seems there are a lot of guys running pretty fast on the 10bolt, but I worry more about my tranny, because its still stock(156k miles) and on the last outing it wouldnt go out of 2nd gear and would only rev to 4k. Its working fine now but im a little more concerned about it than the rear-end.
