Default 12.48 @ 108.76, good or no?

2000 z28 a4. Has an Fti 3800 stall, lid, pacesetter LT's and ORY pipe, cutout, eibach pro kit, comp engineering 3-way adj rear shocks and Et streets.
I only cut a 1.74 60 foot and it seems like it could do better, but I cant get it out of the 1.7's. The car runs consistant 12.5's and 12.6's usually, but always with a 1.7xx. I'm launching it at about 18 or 1900 RPM and it's not spinning at all...

2.73 gears also if it matters. I know I could get out harder with bigger gears, but I really dont want to switch them out

Nice run. Little by little. You can also change your title by going to the sticky at top of this Section and follow the instruction.

Congrats

David

I think it's a good run, considering you have 2.73's. I have 2000 Z28, A4, K&N drop in, 3.73's, Hooker Headers & catback, ORY, Dyno Tune 331HP. 3800 Stall, m/t drag radials, and a couple free mods and my best r/t was a 1.75 and my best 60' 1.75, this was at the 1/8 and i got a best of 8.15 @ 85.08mph. which according to the calculators it equals a 12.79 at the 1/4.

I think i could use some of the suspention you have and i might hit the 7's @ the 1/8 Why dont you want to switch your gear??

I think it is a very good run with the 2:73 gears, I'm running 12.605@110.39 in my convertible that is stock motor & tranny as I have not installed my cam or stall yet, but you can see in my sig that I have changed my gear to a 3:89. My vert is also a daily and as long as I keep her in overdrive mileage is not to bad. Think about a gear change, you'll love it!!!

Did you try any other launch rpms? How are your shocks set? Tires PSI?

the shocks are set at the middle setting on the passenger side and the soft setting on the Driver side, and the ET streets are at like 25ish lbs.

Deftunes: I like the crusing RPM that I get from the 2.73's, and my car is my DD, and sees a lot of highway miles. I have 4.56's in the truck though

Go all the way firm on both shocks and run as much air pressure as you can get away with until it starts spinning.

Also you didn't mention if you tried any other launch RPMs. Some stalls like to be left from idle and some like to be left as high as they can go.

Try 2500 stall at the line and get some 3.73s... you'll see 1.6X for sure

Have you ever tried leaving from low rpms or idle? You should be getting much more from your setup. Easily 1.6s and maybe break into the 1.5 range if your car isn't too heavy.

thats alot of air pressure in those et streets, you should be 10lbs less in each tire, run them at 15-16psi

So it will be slower and more unstable. Good call.

never really tried from an idle, 2500-3000 works best so far. I'm also still basically stock motor, untuned, and at 2500+ DA. I have until march to think about it

lowering tire presure is a comon thing to gain traction and get your 60ft down, might hurt top end but hav never seen it make the car unstable or as slow as a turtle... 18 psi and a quick burn out (if on drag radials or slicks).... 18-20 psi and avoid the water box if on street tires.... but have never seen more presure drop a 60ft...
