Is my car a freak? Friends of mine have been saying my car is a freak, I like to say driver mod lol. Seriously though, I know that 12.8s are prob about normal for my mods. I have longtubes, tsp duals, rpm tune, monster stage 2, tick master, umi lca's and phb. Dyno'd 352hp357tq
My best time is 12.6@113mph with a 1.9 60ft on street tires. 6 speed, Stock 10bolt with 3.42s. SO are my friends right is my car a freak?

this. a friend of mine went 12.4s @ 116 with a bolt-on car near full weight. stock everything except MAC MIDLENGTH HEADERS 410s and a cutout. 02 car with 12k miles on it, i'm sure that helped. he used to yank cammed cars all the time and get accused of spraying. quite humorous.

that 113 trap says your car is capable of very low 12's at a minimum , heck I watched the previous owner of my 6 speed car go 11.9's with it on 111 traps - it has similar mods to yours unfortunately all his no lift shifts have the t56 so it wont shift at rpm anymore so I wont track it until I can afford a proper trans build.
get some good tires and drop those 60 foots then your buddies will really think your a freak

1.79 on street tires I know the bs flag is about to fly but it happened !I would have to go back to e mails from when I bought it to see size & brand as I bought it with his winter wheels on it , he autocrossed it so the tires were big & sticky as street tires go... guy can drive I approached him after to ask questions as I was looking to get into an ls1 car he made 3 passes all at 111 11.95 , 11.97 , 11.99 damn consistent guy . maybe this explains the low trap a bit , after I bought it I had asked him questions such as launch rpm , shift rpm , gear and rpm at traps and he said 3rd was only good to about 104 so he barely needed to shift 4th lower gears (373,390) would get more out of 4th and likely raise traps , higher gears(308,323) would save 1 shift and be maxxing out at the traps I think either scenario it likely would gain a few mph at the traps - having to shift for the last 7 mph isnt optimal lol

nice times but Not a freak lol. I ran a lil quicker than that with my 99 z28 with lid/muffler delete/tune on sumitomo 245 50 16 street tires. 12.48@112 full interior, AC, stock 3.42 rear, stock clutch hydraulics and a shitty stock ls2 clutch and fw that i got for free lol

If this is the car you're thinking of well if it didn't have MT DRs it would be stock. Real close though. Damn good run either way.

FWIW, I trapped a best of 116.79 with my 2002 LS1 Third Gen swap and haven't even pulled a valve cover yet. All bolt ons.
I ditched the way-too-high 4.11's for some 4.30's and knocked 3 tenths off the 1/8 mile alone. Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of a real 11 second slip, just a handful of 7.6's in the 1/8th after the deeper gears.

Doesn't sound freaky at all to me. At least not at my elevation and favorite track (MIR).
I went 12.5 with LT, LS1motorsport lid, FTRA, SLP loudmouth .
99Z, 6speed. Street tires. It had more in it. This was waaaay back in 02. It ran a 13.13 stock down to the paper filter.
ohh yea... this was while pulling the clutch pedal off the floor after 3 rd : P

I would say your car is running like it should because you can drive. Thats why all your friends think its a freak. Most of these cars are driven by people that cant drive wortha **** and then allot of people start thinking that these cars dont run that great.
My 01 WS6 went 12.4 @ 114 with a lid,filter,MAC headers and Y pipe and I was on regular street tires. This was also with no tune and the car was so rich that sometimes it would blow black smoke.
