Calling all near stock 12sec LS1s. Please check in.
Im just trying to get an idea of how many people out there have a stock or very lightly modded 12sec car. Please post your year, trans,ET times, and mods. Please limit mods to catbacks,Lids, pulleys,MAFs, TBs, and free mods. No cars with long tubes, gears,or torque converters. I dont have a real reason for doing this, just curious about which cars, years, and trans are in the majority.
My car is in my sig, this was run on the stock RSAs with a 2.0 60ft in 55 degree weather with about 50%humidity. I also have the FRA and descreened MAF mod, other than that my car is about stock as they come, save the MTI lid and Sweet thunder 3in muffler in place of the stock one.
My GF has an 02 A4 that is stock all they way to the paper filter and stock catback. I drove her car to a 13.2@105 on the stock RSAs with a 1.98 60ft.
At one time I belived that the older 98-00 cars were stronger, but in the last year I believe that the 01-02 cars may have an edge(LS6 Intake, alledgedly better manifolds, ect)

My car went a 13.30 @105.4w/out programming and with a hell of a lot of weight in the car. Next weekend I'm gunna run a short belt, some bigger tires, raise my rev limiter, raise shift points (the 13.30 was made on stock programming)and some weight reduction. I think 12.9's are possible.
The car probably weighed somewhere in the ball park of 3850 lbs on the 13.30 pass.

I did a 13.2 @ 103 on a 2.09 60' on F1's with just FRA. 02 WS6 6-speed.
A friend went 12.69 @ 108 on a 1.8 60' on F1's with free mods, lid, Bassani off road y-pipe, and B&M shift kit. 02 SS A4.

I don't have it anymore <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> but here is what my 98 Formula needed to run 12.68 at 110.6mph:
4.10s
BFG drag radials
cutout
MTI lid
Ported MAF
SLP cold air kit (which did nothing)
HPP3
homemade 160 thermo
TR6 plugs
So basically I spent next to nothing on this car and ran well into the 12s.

12.88 @ 107.3
3K miles
LT1 styled Ram Air Box, K&N Filter and SCC Ram Air hood (just like I drove her off the showroom floor)
45 psi front, 24 psi rear on GSC's
Perfect conditions on a well prepped track
Slipped clutch off the line and pulled a 1.87 60ft
Quick shift into 2nd
Half assed power shift into 3rd
Full bore powershift into 4th
My times actually got worse when I started adding mods <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
The Nitto and BFG DR's would hook so much that I would either bog the engine or burn the $h!t out of the clutch <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Car feels much stonger on the street with the mods, but I have yet beat my best stock time....
It's probably the fact that the local track hardly ever prep the surface for time trials anymore <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Ran a 12.66 @111.94 w/2.00 60' when all I had was lid, shifter, cutout, free mods, and Nittos. Not too sure about what it would run now though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> It's a lil faster! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Calling all near stock 12sec LS1s. Please check in.
Not "bone stock" but dern near it.
At the time the only mods were-Lid, ported stock TB, and BFG DRs. The DRs didn't help alot as my clutch was slipping a bit. I have cut a 1.90 sixty ft. with the stock Firehawks.
It's in the sig.
