what the hell??? i know cobras stock are 380 right?? (forgot and don't know sh*t about cobras) if my ta dynoed 468, it would be runnin 10's, . . . why are cobras slow? does the cobra weigh 9,000 pounds or something??

(i was actually thinkin of gettin a cobra after i pay off the TA)

Guy cant drive... i've seen MANY go 12.6-12.7's bone stock. They have horrible wheel hop from their crappy IRS design, that kills 90% of their launches.

Cobras can't hook for a damn, especially with mods. Horrible suspension setup.

That true but his mph should be higher even if hes not hooking his mph is only 113

Agrees CObras have a horrible IRS design. Wheel hop masters and always snapping axles under load. Stick a 9" in that 450whp cobra and you will see a difference. But then you gotta strip the **** out of it to get it under 3400lb. **** the cobras.

Another sad part which I've noticed that he even has DRs and yet his 60' time is only 1.927. That sort of explains his inability to drive his car. As for trap speed, my guess is he may be short shifting.

He's probably shortshifting and granny shifting too. Or stuffed a yugo in the trunk to weigh him down. Definately needs to know how to drive that car. lol. I have a RCH over 300rwhp and I'm almost trapping the same as him. That's sad. -Mark

His radials suck my dad runs them and you can only launch at 3500 or else youll spin them.

They have a big problem hooking, mustang for the most part always have !

Excluding the IRS years (99, 01, and 03+) mustangs have always been known to hook. I've seen more higher 60ft's in Fbodys that I have in mustangs. Now I've always seen higher mph on the GM side (average wise).

I had a 90 mustang that would run low 7s in the 1/8, always had hooking problems on anything but full slicks, and then it was still squirlly, they maybe made some inprovement in parts since the late 90s when I sold mine !

I havent lost to any as a matter of fact i only raced one . I just think they are crap since most of them make sick *** numbers on the dyno but i rarely see them in the 11s most of them are in the mid 12s with 450 rwhp . i think that is sorry and they should stop making excuses.

I am always at the track (live 10 min away) i have only seen one or two that have been impressive.

I had a 500rwhp 03 Cobra. ran 12.50 @120. I couldnt hammer down on the car until top of 3nd or bottom of 3rd gear due to the IRS design and wheel hop. I sold that car and am back to a LS1 Camaro.

I wont knock the 03/04 Cobra's though. several of these cars are running 9's on the IRS suspensions. Jay Knotts for example has been in the 9's for while with the IRS.

put it on the track and run it ,and if it makes 500 rwhp and runs 12.5 im not impressed.

had one pull me on the highway the other day... good stuff. but as far as track times go i cant talk either cause my car could be faster if i actually launched it and shifted hard. but some peeps just suck at driving.
