Post 12.41@ 110mph with small mods.

I have a 2001 6-speed Camaro SS with 32,000 miles my car stock runs 13.4 on street tires. i barley started to do mods to my car so it can run and keep up with the big boys(Viper's, Porches 911 turbo...)i barley spent money to make the car run low 12's my first upgrade was gears 3.73 just beacuse gas is expensive and so i can still keep my top end. Second upgrade was half exhaust just so i can get some rattle to the car never intention to race but that exhaust well eventually go. Third upgrade a 160 themorstat. Fourth upgrade was a custom tuning. fifith upgrade throttle bodie with the slp cold air lid. sixth upgrade was nitrous a dry set-up with 100 shot for now with 91 octane. seventh upgrade a short stick that help alot more better than the factory hurst shifter stick that kept getting stuck in third gear. eighth upgrade was M/T et streets. oh yeah little mods that work d-screen my mass air senor just make sure it gets calibrated so that your lights dont pop-up and bypass the throttle body, and also some 8.5mm MSD wires with irdium delco plugs and also change my tranny mount with a poly urthane bushing same for the stock torque arm. and thats about it that got me in the 12's i wasted less then $1,500.00 Havent dyno but prediting about 430-460 horsepower. Well i also broken the stock rear end 4 times and doesnt feel good so that means upgrade with a 12 bolt and suspension. just frequentlly broke the tranny screwing around well needed to upgrade anyways if i was going to put more power into the motor.

Did you spray to get the 12.4 pass? I would get a 9" rear as opposed to the 12bolt for the manual transmission.

I don't know, but those numbers don't look right to me. I ran a 12.7@110(same as you) w/2.0 60' w/mods in sig and street tires. That same day a guy w/a 99 SS w/a lid, cat-back +100 shot ran 12.26@117 w/2.0 60' on street tires.

No, you two guys are right, it should run bit faster than 12.4 with his mods and 100 shot, especially with ET streets.

He needs to post his 60' times, most likely he got a 2.1 if he was still on street tires.

What do you think I could drop my 60 ft if I go with a decent stall? My best ET should be a 12.7x but Commerce is closed now and I didn't get to run after I changed the shifting points for 2-3.It was changing to high in the RPM's.

Depends on your tires. Anywhere from a 1.6-1.9.

It was his first time on slicks so he went easy on the launch.

He's used to racing on street tires.

And that time he ran was at 2800 feet uncorrected.

So thats why his time seems a little off.

His trans is broken now so maybe if he gets a bullit proof one and a better clutch at a better track he should run 12.0s all day long unless his rearend lets go again.
