Default m6, fastest 60 ft. times on 10 bolt w/ drs

Just curious I had terrible times last year with my mods although i was spinning like crazy off the line and when i hit second some into 3rd too and it was around 40 or 50 degrees. Im planning on getting some drs but im afraid im gonna blow my 10 bolt(dont want to anytime soon). My plan is to come off the line around idle maybe a little more slipping the clutch. What kind of potential would i have with drs, my 10 bolt and leaving around idle.My best 1/4 was 13.3 at 111 with a 2.3 60 foot. My best 1/8 time was 8.4 at 88 with a 2.2 60 all on nitto 555's street tires. I would leave between 1000 and 2500 rpms, spinning or bogging. Mods in sig. Tires are killin me

Hey don't feel bad,I haven't had any luck yet either. I'm running the BFG drag radials on an 18'' wheel. Found out some of my crappyy 60' times were due to tire pressure. Best 60' so far was a 2.2something leaving off idle. Not so nice with the cam I'm running. Look at sig for mods(don't worry about the rear I have or suspension mods, not in car yet). Now my fastest run was 12.704 @117.97mph. That was spinning into second on my stock 10bolt with 4.10's and bone stock suspension.

I need to check my tire pressure too ive never done that. I also have 3.42's so that might be some of the reason also.

I've got 4.10's in the 10 bolt. When I raced last year with the stock clutch, I had nitto dr's and was hitting 1.9 60 ft's easily, no problems with the rear.

I have the G5X3 and have the same problem, my best time so far (five runs) is 12.85 @114mph with a lot of problems with traction. I was trying leaving off idle and runs 2.3 on 60ft, but the problem was on 2nd gear, the hp tuners recorded TPS at 70% when I was trying not to spinn on 2nd.

I was thinking on DRs to save my 10 bolts, it has the stock 3.42 but have moser axles and TA cover. So my be go for a ET Streets 26x10.5 and look for some 1.8s looking to get low 12s.

You wont have traction with a 390hp M6 Car and street tires.

I had around 21 psi in my street tires (eagle F1's), slipped the clutch out at about 3k rpm's and dropped the instant I got moving. Was able to get a 1.98 60' and averaged 2.08 sec. Get that launch down and it will be easily in 12's.

On my 555rs I was cutting 1.83-1.90 consistantly with about 9-10K miles on the radials. Stock clutch, stock 3:42s, with regualr bolt-ons

#1- Drag radials are NOT for manual cars. All though people can and have gotten away with them. they are not reccomended because they dont absorb the shock of the shifts as much as say a M/T ET street which is a bias ply wrinkle wall design. Also M&H racemaster Muscle Car Drag Slicks are the same way, also thier Cheater slick. These are all bias ply tires and they wrinkle, and absorb the shock of your shift. Less chance of breaking things also except for the launch off the line.

as far as stock tires my m6 SS went 2.01 launching in second with 4:56 gears because firstwas worthless. i ran three 1.67 sixty foots on stock rear with ET Streets. they are not the radials but flash99 was at the track and he ran a 1.68 against me with the radials but that was a IRS GTO m6.

1.7 60 ft here. Stock rear, gears, clutch, d/s, and suspension. I only have bolt ons headers/tune/lid/exhaust. I did that with the m/t 275/40r17 drag radial.

I leave at idle on street tires & run 12.9 @ 109 w/2.0 60ft

I would think you could do a little better on DR's since you wouldn't spin as bad.
