Thumbs up

Most people who have been to this say that it's a great event. I have a points race commitment at E-town on that Saturday but if anything changes I might try to make it down there.

No, we replaced it with another heads-up class called Super Street.

To big of a performance gap in Factory Shootout last year, sorry.

Yes, it is a great event, the biggest on the MIR schedule. I hope you can make it. I know there are a lot of Vettes coming this year.

Spoke to Steve Jackson yesterday, he called about WCF. He is gonna rock in the Outlaw vs Extreme class.

As for oil downs, some years it goes to the imports, and some years it goes to the domestics. In 2009 the domestics had most of the oil downs. So we all just gotta understand.

Well that sucks I thought I would like to do this event this year, but the only class I fit into is the radial VS Modified. And I am pretty sure that I would get killed.

Can't do the ET class cause I need my Trans brake to spool the turbo. And my turbo(88mm) is too big for the Street fighter class.

Not looking to buy a pair of 275 tires just for once race not to mention needed to spend time getting the suspension set up better for a smaller tire

If they allowed 88mm turbos in Street Fighter it would be a 7 second class.

Think someone has a 76mm going 8.6's.

Understood but I don't have a big 88. My little budget 88 will probably only get my to a 8.8 on my little 347. All this on my pump gas street car that I still drive around a fair amount.

I understand, mine was a street car at one point also.
BUT you cant expect to be competitive with a street car when the real race cars show up.
Thats why ours is a race car now, cant have it both ways. LOL

You have a nice car and its badass for a street car but you know how guys get crazy with turbo stuff so I think you will see in most classes the turbo rules are pretty strick.

Hope to see you there either way.

I guess maybe I will go out and see just what I can do foot braking the car. If I can get some what consistent with it a might take a stab at the ET class.

We're lucky to have the Best track in the tri-state area holding this event.

Racing or spectating, it's a must do IMO.

hmmmm i see iirc there was like 1 porsche or something that blew everyone out of the water. maybe rule considerations could be made and u could get that class back going again next year. i know id come down from boston to run in it.

looks like 12.50 index is what id fit in. or bracket. few questions on the 12.50index class.

1. deep staging allowed?

2. and is it run on a .400 pro tree?

3. in qualifying if you go faster then 12.50 do u automatically get bumped into 11.50 or does that pass just not count?

1) yes - I'm thinking the tree will not be held for you though, so get in quick...

2) .500 Pro tree

3) no... you pick your index and do your best to get close. Runs under your index puts you at the bottom of the ladder.
