FLP DID NOT give me what I paid for!!!!
So a few months ago I made an appointment with Dan at FLP to have an iron block 408 installed in my car with a D1SC Procharger, fmic, fuel stuff, torque convertor, and tuning, plus a couple other things. I told him on the phone I wanted 600-650 rwhp on pump gas, which he said would be no problem. Well the fuel system could not keep up like we thought it would. So Dan installed a complete fuel system this past few days and redyno'd the car. I picked it up last night, and just as I pull in at just after 9:00 P.M. its idling down after a dyno pull. I didn't know if that was good or bad, since the car was supposed to be done.
All I wanted was my 650 rwhp car that I paid for, so you can imagine my suprise when Dan flips on the monitor to show me........
757 RWHP on pump gas and 14 psi!!!!!!!
Also know that this was done through an A4 and 12 bolt and big tires, with the stock ATI inlet hat in place! We still have a smaller pulley we *could* try, plus my nitrous system, but somehow I think over 700 rwhp will be sufficient for now.
The car made a few more HP than a F1 408 combo they did earlier this year, and Dan attributes this to the cam they selected. The car still has A/C (which Dan had to fix for me, thanks again), full interior with a 6 pt., all the options, stereo, and leather. It still drives like it did before for the most part, except when the boost builds and the MT's let go at half throttle (had to try it last night at 3:30 A.M., neighbors gotta love me). I'm scared to really punch this thing, **** happens in a hurry!
The work they did is great, very clean fabrication and installation. Although the project took longer than anticipated, it was worth it for a job well done. Dan busted *** on it these past couple weeks as parts came in to finish it, I truly appreciate it. We hung out for a few minutes and checked out Jims Impala, and shot the ****. For anyone who doesn't know, Dan is an extremely intelligent individual when it comes to this stuff. I know why they have such a good reputation now.
Let me also thank Don, who did alot of work on the car as well. Also a very talented person, great work man!
This project is a big deal to me, I've wanted something like this for 15 years and to actually have a car making in excess of 900 HP is awesome! Thanks to the FLP crew for making it happen, and when I get bored with this (yeah, right), I know they can make it even more brutel.
If I were to sum up this car in one word, it would have to be "VIOLENT". That'd be a cool license plate. Hmmmm.....

I got just a couple pics, but they suck. I'll get new ones today sometime. I can't drive it until tonight, gotta watch the little guy today. It needs cleaned up too.
I tell ya, one of the coolest parts on here is the fuel cell from Behind Bars Race Cars. Its sheet metal and polished, its so ******* "race" its not even funny. Theres just something cool about looking up and seeing that shiny tank and monster fuel pump and knowing you actually NEED it.

I will, we need to do some fabricating to move the radiator and stuff and I'm debating on keeping the A/C. Honestly, its a street car, and I'm sure that elbow costs quite a few HP, but it isn't like it hooks now.
Don't worry, it'll only get faster, one way or another.....

Yeah, almost 700 lbs. at the wheels.
I do not know the cam specs, I'd have to ask them.
My 4L60E has everything you can think of short of a trans brake. And somehow I doubt its gonna be enough. I wish I could drive it today, I got some street tires in the garage that need to be lit up at about 70 mph! Maybe tonight.
Bowler transmissions did the tranny, he's the best I've met. I understand FLT is really good too.
