Default Milling 243 Heads Question

So I'm installing a Tick Performance Polluter V1 242/244 | .61x”/.61x” | 112LSA along with ported/polished 243 heads & was going to have them milled. I was wondering what everyone would suggest for milling them & doing some fly cutting?? Thanks...

Mill them to 58cc.

Cut .060 intake and exhaust.

If you can, grab an adjustable timing set as well and degree the V.1 to a 108 ICL as it has no advance ground into the cam.

This will create an extremely violent power band from 3500-7200rpm with a ton of torque from a big cam.

It will feel like a shot of nitrous comes on at 3500rpm literally.

How do the polluter v1 and v2 compare?

The main issue I had with the V.1 and the reason I designed the V.2 is torque. The V.1 always made great peak HP, but it's torque figures were low. This is due directly to the late IVC event.

This is why the V.1(and V.2) respond so well to added compression. I have started recommending the SNS Stage 3 to all customers who will be running cam only with stock compression. The V.2 and V.1 needs 11.5:1+ to shine due to their IVC events. V.2 can get away with less CR and still make good torque, but the V.1 really needs compression.

Advancing the V.1 and adding compression will totally change it's power curve versus running it with stock compression and installing it dot to dot.

Thanks Martin appreciate it. I have a SLP Double-Roller Timing Chain so Ill make sure to adjust it to that! Can't wait to get this cam installed. I plan on adding 100-150 shot to it also
