Knowing a cam is wrong....while its in the engine already.....not knowing its specs..
I called him today to ask him about the heads and if they were up to the task as-is for possibly upwards of 1,000RWHP with a Procharger, from when he fully rebuilt them 6 years ago for the new 390ci. He said the heads are all set to go.
BUT.....he cannot come up with the exact cam specs, he simply cannot find my info documents. But he said he absolutely put a cam in for boost because thats what the engine was built for and its what I wanted to do with it........
So, if I go ahead right now and move forward with installing an F-1A-94 Procharger kit will my tuner, while dyno tuning, know if the cam is the problem.....if there's a low power output issue? Without knowing any of the current cam specs right now. Or should we pull the cam out while the engine is sitting on the ground to install the BMR Turbo k-Member, and check all the cam specs to see if its exactly what we want in the engine?
I think this is an advanced tech question.......
