And it was on the door I just had painted. Not too noticable, but I know its there. Just hate to see your beautiful paint job damaged. I did find out its alot easier if you actually twist the bars while you are taking them out of their bracket "holders"Yeah, Im guessing I'm around 250 pounds lighter right now, and this is all the stuff I can unbolt or just pull out. Im almost done with getting rid of the "useless" stuff. Doing all the free stuff right now since Im paying off alot on credit cards, but should be interesting once I'm able to get an aftermarket k member and other lightweight parts.
There is this tape they put on the window I'm guessing to hold the window down tight till the glue sets. The guy told me to keep it on for 48 hours. BTW, you can see my neighbors LT1 Z/28 Convertable in the background.

And here it is with the tape pulled off...looks like before with 150 bucks missing from my pocket.


I picked up a set of longtube Hooker Headers that I will be doing a picture write up for sanding/repainting the rusted headers and a write up for the shorty to lt header switch in the next few days. The headers I got where severely surface rusted and needed to be sanded back down and repainted black. I will be removing the shorty headers that were on the car at the time I purchased it along with the off road y-pipe and tossing them in favor of the long tubes and true dual exhaust. Leaning towards the dynomax bullets for mufflers with turn downs. This project should keep me busy the next couple weeks.

where the wheels come from and the seats, they look different from ur old summit seats, I didnt see them before

The wheels in the sig pic where just photoshopped on there. I still need to find a set of prostars or draglights.
The seats are the same ones I have had since like a month after I bought the car.
Right now, I havent driven the car since probably last May, other than around the block every now and then to run the engine but I used the Camaro as a daily driver for a couple months until I bought my Trans Am and did an hour and a half commute each way with the Summit seats. They arent that bad really, the seats have the "leather" covers over them so the seats have a little padding to them.
) and I plan on intalling them and running true dual exhaust with bullet mufflers. For today, my goal was just to remove the shorty headers that came on the car when I bought them. Took a couple pictures along the way. Wasnt that difficult to do, Im guessing the hard part is to come when I intall the LTs.
Drivers Side Before...

First thing I did was removed the Y-pipe and got that out of the way...

Started removing the header bolts along with the spark plugs and wires...

Then disconnect the O2 sensor and wiggled the header free for them engine bay...

Did the same thing on the passenger side, but had to also removed the EGR tube, the dipstick, and starter...

E3 spark plugs, look a little dirty...what can I use to clean these up? The E3s are pretty new...

The old headers are out!!
Also pulled the EGR tube out along with some plastic tube that was on the frame, not sure what it was, but it was unplugged...
Hehe...My Camaro is pulling a wheelie...hope I can do this for real once everything is done.
