Write-Up: Non-Projector HIDs for Firebird/Trans Am
#126
In case anybody has any trouble finding the EuroLights conversion housing parts number, BobbyD was kind enough to remind me that the Lowbeam housing is "4703" and the high beams are "4701." However it is not advised to put HIDs as high beams as they do NOT like to be flashed.

Peter at Eurolights (AWSOME COMPANY BTW!!!) recommended their SuperBright ION H7 for the hi beams over the HIDs as well. He is sending me a set to try to see if I like them but I suspect I will still go with the HIDs just because its a show car and I want to say I have a "full HID" conversion....yeah yeah yeah, I know.... LOL
Yes sir. Get the housings from Eurolights, then get the HID ballasts. Everything else is in the writeup!

Ordered the housings for now. Gonna have to wait till I can skimp out a lil for the H7 for the low beams. Gonna do those first since I ordered the housings.
Thanks to 98ws6, bobby, and detoxx for answering all my questions thru PM's. Very nice guys.
Also, any more definite way to not make the fog light housings melt??? I'm not to keen on that idea of them possibly bubbling up or becoming damaged.

Wonder if these would work better? Not sure what part melts with the HID's =p
Also trying to find some pig tails that will work, so you don't have to cut off factory harness. If I can't, I might just strip back the insulation and solder it. Want to keep the option of switching back if I have to on a trip or something.

I've got some Blazertech 3200 fog lights that are supposed to be perfect for HID's.. They supposedly won't melt.. I haven't used HID's in them yet.. They use an H3 bulb..
Who do you guys like on eBay for the HID kits?

Their just regular bulbs. Only one person told me he got them without the bulbs, so I guess you can email them and ask how to do that. If not just get the housings that have the cheapest bulbs in them.
