it will definately clear 600rwhp, rwtq...i don't know. i'm sure it'll clear 550, but there's really no telling. i'm hoping to hit a 9 second pass while keeping the 6-speed. i've gone a lot of weight reduction, but i'm not sure if it'll be enough. i still want the car to appear stock, so i'm not stripping the interior or hacking up the body panels. It may not be a realistic goal, but it IS a goal and it WILL happen one way or another

You have the same mentality as I do man..." you can't take it with you." Between the motor, suspension, and labor I have probably a little over $20k in my build. Keep posting the progress man.

it's on the agenda, but isn't 100% necessary, and this point i'm just trying to get the car running. It IS on the list though...

Say 2000 SS..this is a really beautiful car. You definitely have great taste in paint and rims or just cars in general. I recall seeing this car on Main ST in Joplin. If I'm not mistaken..I believe it could be yours.

Do you happen to have any clear pictures of the front stance? I can't seem to find any. Trying to decide whether or not to keep these spring/shock combo.

Yep, unless it was recently that you saw it. I USED to have the only SOM car within 100 miles, or at least the only V8/modified SOM SS. I get people asking me "where i was going the other day" and i have to explain it couldn't possibly have been me because my car is torn all apart....But yes, a year and half ago it would have been me.

OK!

I've got a small pile of parts ready to go to the powdercoater: Spindles, tranny crossmember, and brake rotors.

I'm waiting on some new strut mounts/spring isolators to show up. Once i have them, the front suspension/motor/tranny can all go in along with the newly powdercoated parts.

THEN, is when i'll mount my BMR X-Treme torque arm. i would do it now, BUT it involves welding, which will require more powdercoating. I can't put it in now because i need to know exactly where the driveshaft goes so i can weld the DS loop in the appropriate position.

Unfortunately, i still own a GSX-R1000. I can't very well finish the car until i have the money from it.

yeah, i like it, still have it. I thought about going to a black billet grill, but i'm going to keep the RKSport for now. It's clean looking and light weight.

Brake rotors got powdercoated then turned down, BMR / Flaming River manual rack showed up, spindles and transmission crossmember also powdercoated gloss black.

New strut mounts & spring isolators will be here tomorrow and the install will begin as long as the humidity/temperature drops. I can't set foot in the shop without being SOAKED in sweat after 5 minutes of intense thought, much less physical labor.

I'm still in the dark about much of f-bodies, but in the pic of your rotors, why does the top left differ from the rest?
