Default Weld says a 15"x10" 7.5bs will not fit on a 2000 Z28

Haven't people run the Weld 15x10 with 7.5bs on a Z28? I sent Weld an email and they said even with grinding the calipers the wheels would not fit

They also said they do not recommended grinding the calipers, but I know I can ignore that part

technically, as far as Weld is concerned....they dont fit. i mean you do have to grind the **** out of the calender to make em fit.

Don't pay any attention to Weld. The first thing to keep in mind is that the majority of aftermarket companies have no clue what they're talking about. If you want to see another example, just call Comp Cams and try to talk cam specs with them!
Ryan - What month have you been grinding on?

For the record, they don't fit, unless you modify the stock calipers, so Weld is correct.

FWIW, my Weld 16x9 XP's worked great and really spread out the 111.5" ET Street. They fit w/o grinding.

15x10 7.5 backspace
15x9 6.5
15x8 5.5

15x10 6.5 backspace will stick out a lot.

Ryan, Ms September looks the best to grind on. Yum!

Ryan and Trevor...FWIW, I grinded down June and got the best results, but I here November works well too

I thought most folks were using a 6.5" BS on the 15x10 rims?

Weld is clueless. I called them and asked if they had plans to make them where they wouldn't require any grinding to the calipers. He flat told me that they still wouldn't fit and that I'd need to buy different brakes. He had some smartass comment to go along with it, so I told him that they should get out of the '70's and start making rims with updated technology. He wasn't too happy. Like I care. :FU2buddy:

They do make ones that fit, the XP's. They have reinforced center section that add 10 lbs to them.
