Well there is nothing like a big show to motivate you to finish projects and work on the details. First thing was to install a nice red bow-tie on the 200mph guage cluster (idea from Mark).. finding the decal was the hardest but a decal pack from a Nascar model (#45 Monte Carlo) did the trick <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Next up was having my CF Fuel Rail Covers painted Pewter.. the CF never looked that great to me and I wanted to brighten up the engine area.. too much black.. A friend of mine manages a body shop so the cost was zero.. he shot the FRC's and the FIPK heat shild then cleared it all.. I also relocated all the grounding wires around the engine and re-ran the wires to the TCS.. the final result:

It looks like there is a good chance Baker Hose will make a red replacement hose for the FIPK.. that should tie it all in nicely <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

thats f-in awesome dude....nice brakes. i never liked red with pewter, but the engine bay is better than i ever seen.

Have you thought about clearcoating your inner fenders and core support? It can look really good.

Holy crap dude. Man, you might want to put up a sing next to the car saying to keep at least 5 ft away from the car, lol, because otherwise, it might be prone to a mysterious white substance. OIr just hand out tissues to spectators, haah! I love your car man!!!!!

The guages are from Granetelli Motorsports.. come in white, black and blue.. Seem very accruate.

John: Good idea about the clearcoat.. the paint in the engine area is NOT the same as the exterior.. when they shoot the engine area on a metalic colored car they leave most of the metalic out of the paint (im sure it saves .12$).. so you get the pewter pigment (or silver or gold) but its not the same.. make touchup a bitch and its hard to match.. Next winter i will pull it all apart for it annual cleaning and have a guy do it with a airbrush.. Im always looking for tips and ideas <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
