Default New toy for garage delivered today!!

Whoo Hoo.. my new Compressor arrived today.. it HUGE.. lol.. 60gallon tank and a 5hp single stage engine..

Now I just have to bolt it to the floor (after expoxy painting the floor) and wire it into its dedicated 220 circut -- Im also going to run a couple air nubs around the garage so there is always one handy..

I would love to get one of those pneumatic sisor type lift.. they get your car up a couple feet -- maybe next year.. im dying to fire this thing up..

Hope to have this place set up as mod-central.. lol

Wow, that's a lot of compressor!! Do you just like to go big, or do you really need that much?

My set father works for Ingersol Rand -- this was sort of a "everybody contributes" bday present.. It has a small scuff on the back so he got a heck of deal on it.. i think its almost a $1000 dollars retail new

It definetly more than i need.. Infact my neighbor wants to know if he can run a ail line over to my house.. lol

Thats a nice peice of mechinery! We are going to have to invest in a new air compressor here SOON! Our's takes forever to build pressure..... we have a gas powered compressor on a service truck but it is lour as HELL even thought it is a great compressor.... Ingersol Rand is a great company and I might need to look into one of these compressors!

How many PSI does that compressor put out?? I think our current is 175(not quite enough)

Boy Ingersoll paints them an UGLY color! I think you need to respray it in pewter metallic and have the pump motor chromed.

Dan, check Ebay!! You can get them for pretty cheap.. You don't need that much compressor, either... Check around.

LOL I was actually thinking of painting it Hugger with Z stripes.. - In a few months it will be so covered in stickers you wont be able to see much.. -- Besides I cant argue with the price.. free..

JackZ28.. you right.. it more than most people need.. you can pick up one big enough for most projects at Costco or Sears for 200-300 or even cheaper.. This will be nice since I will be able to run multiple air tools (two nail guns, etc)..

Great deal. I purchased one last year but it's no ingesoll. Mine is 60 gal 4.5 hp. I built a shed behind my garage for it I hate having to hear a compresser run all the time when your sanding or painting. anyway graet compresser.go luck to you.Rich

My dad is an exec for Dresser-Rand, Ingersol-Rand merged with Dresser. He works at the centrifugal turbine division in Olean, NY. Maybe he can get me a deal on a turbo for a nuclear powered aircraft carrier.

An air compressor is like a garage. Get the biggest you can afford. No matter how big it is, you'll always need a bigger one later. Trust me.
