Well I am currently on spring break, and have been out in the garage working on my cage the past couple days....
Ive decided to go with gunmetal as my accent color, so i got some gunmetal paint.
I will be spraying today.
Also, I am welding my SFCs and finishing the underbody coating.
Also, I will be dying my interior panels black..
I was looking at wrapping them, but I think for now Ill stick with dye, because when I do leather, I wanna do my seats, and a few things in Carbon Fiber(Not fake CF, I think that stuff looks horrid)
Pics tonight

Went with gunmetal. I'm really happy with it. Turned out great.
I will be powdercoating my wheels, and several other things gunmetal also. Really like this color.

I got some on the panels painted today. Used a gloss black, and wish I had gone flat, but its staying, this is only temporary till I wrap everything in leather/vinyl. I just much prefer a solid black interior. So for the $40 buck in paint, its worth it.
I just put the panels in temporary, I still have to do some wiring before the carpet can go down, but I wanted to get some pictures up, because it shows the Gunmetal much better with the new black panels
BTW... I'm using duplicolor vinyl paint, gloss black.

I dont like how the gloss black looks, I really want to wrap the panels.
So, Im looking into that more.
But, if I get started there, I will be doing some Carbon Fiber work also.
I will also be building a hell of a carputer.
WE SHALL SEE.
SO this build may get pretty interesting quick.

Dont do gloss on the dash/dash pad or else sun driving and glare will blind you.
Your best bet would have been to go with the Fusion paint in satin for the plastic parts and then to use the Vinyl Paint on the leathers and vinyls and w/e cheap non leather materials are in our car lol.
It looks good but the gloss is a little much for me.

It looks great but keep in mind that this stuff can rip and tear.
With my painted kick panels If it actually scratches I just wipe it down and clean it up and let it dry with just some regular soap and water. Then once its dry I spray a light even burst across the scuff.. instant fix.
With the vinyl you have to do it all over again if you rip it or snag it. which is hard to do but it could happen. Vinyl looks good and Id like to do some pieces but im fine with paint on most of my interior.
As far as the gloss goes if you want to go with the lighter satin, just pickup the right color of the Krylon Fusion and spray a light coat or two overtop of what you already have done and it should be just fine. I did the same thing with my rear trunk/hatch peices. I painted them with gloss and didnt like it. Went back and got some satin.. much better.

Thanks dad!
Well, Im really unhappy with how poorly the carpet fits.
I think Im gonna look for a new black carpet from a better company...
Also, anybody know where to find an ABS reinforced headliner. I heard some talk about it. Its supposed to be easier to wrap. Mine turned out poorly. The old cardboard is falling apart.

picked mine up on ebay, make sure you take it out of the box as soon as you get it otherwise it will deform.
