Okay... I think I did something stupid.

The piece between the taillights... that isnt clear coated... I tried to wetsand(1000,1500,2000) and then polish with Megs UC by hand... and the scratches dont go away... like what happens on plastic...

I am a complete noob and have self taught myself, through trial and error, and yes it has been expensive and time consuming.

So... whats the next step? Porter Cable? or does it need Paint? Id rather not..

On the same note, i was about to do my tail lights also.. but now im not sure... Those are quite a bit more expensive.

Today, I picked up a couple cans of Quicksilver paint, for my emblem accents. and i got some stuff to take off my door guards.

I did the gunmetal ceta, but then I decided to tape off and paint the crease quicksilver. Im not sure I like it, but its okay and its different. The bumper is messed up a little. I was rearended by a GSXR... (apparently a 3900lb Trans Am can outbreak a 500lb bike.) You can see a crack and some scrapes.

I also sanded down the PONTIAC in the rear bumper... The P/O put a vinyl in there and over the years it baked on and was very difficult to get off... but it wasnt a big deal beacuse I wanted to sand it down and paint it anyway, today Ill do some wetsanding on everything and clean it all up... and put the gunmetal vinyls on.

I also got some Gunmetal BB stripes.

Thanks.

I smoothed and painted the gauge surround, radio surround, shifter trim, handle/switch pieces, and the dome light.

I dyed everything else satin black.

I like what you did with the CETA mod, but why didn't you fix that damage to the bumper first? Or is that something that's still in the works?

Thanks, I wanted to take it a step further.

Theres so much to do right now, I dont have time to do everything.

Im putting a list of things to do AFTER the cars back on the road. Both of the bumpers need to be replaced.

After winter Ill get another bumper and have it painted at a body shop the same way I did...

they are filled letters not stickers, so that part of the panel is flush and you don't worry about the letters bending or wrinkling

any auto parts store, either duplicolor or SEM interior dye. It was not hard. but i wouldnt suggest doing it, im not happy with the results.

I got a bit more of the interior together. A few notes, the flash made the dash appear much blacker than it is... yes the steering wheel is fucked. the seats really dont look that bad. the center console lid, has **** on it, that like dyed it. (Our garage flooded awhile back and it ruined everything on the floor... steering wheel, console lid, lots of other stuff too.)
