4th gen seat cover swap?
Hey guys,
new to the forum, so yeah hi.
I got a question, i got cloth seats and wanted to know if any of you guys ever swaped the fabric with an aftermarket leather/vinal seat cover for a camaro. Any good relativley cheap ones out there?
any info and pics will be great.
thanks!

Presewn covers aren't worth it, because they never really fit perfectly from what I 've seen. Catskinz is a company that makes a complete set for camaro for about $700. I am not sure if they do for firebirds.
I am having a local upholstery shop cover my rear seats in vinyl and some foam to the seats for $100. They said $100 each for my front seats but I decided to go for aftermarket racing seats for better side support. '
This was in a 01 camaro btw.

NP, I 'd recommend using GTO seats if you are using factory seats.
There's a sponser here 6LE that sells really good seats as well.

i can't speak for Camaros and cloth to leather, but i did replace my leather last year with new leather (actually hampton vinyl) from hawks 3rd gen parts. here's a few pics of them installed. these are NOT seat covers. they require removal of the old leather and install of the new (as well as sewing the plastic side pieces to the new covers if you want the factory look, not applicable to camaros) I think the Camaro cloth and leather seats are identical. the T/A seats IIRC from 93-97 were offered as both cloth and leather so they too could be converted. firebrids used different seats than the T/A and formula FWIW. IIRC the Formula had T/A style seats if leather and firebird seats if cloth.

I did it. I used to have cloth, but I bought this:

The picture of the red seats is from my car. They fit VERY nice and I put them on myself.

I did my door panels too, I just have to put them back together and I'll get some good pictures of the interior. I think it will look pretty good without going over the top.
