T Tops tint %
T Tops tint % Just like the title says... does anyone know the tint % thats on the t tops of a T/A. I have a 2001 and want to get my windows tinted as close to the % thats on the T Tops thanks
probably 35%.... but not sure.. make sure the windows arent darker than the tops though... that looks stupid.
i put 5% tint on the ttops and the rear window with 15% on the sides, looks good IMO. but i now have ttop shades so the tint dosnt really matter anymore for those
But before the shades went on, at night you couldnt really see out of the top just your own reflection and a faint glow of streetlights is all.

factory tint is close to a 17% like the new tahoe's have on the back doors. I used to not have t-top shades either, that's when I had them both tinted with a 5% over the factory tinted glass, plus 5% on the doors and back-glass. It looks really awesome in my opinion as well as those of others. I can snap some photos for ya if ya'd like to see how dark it is.

Yea the tint shop I took my car to told me the same thing. I left the ttops stock and got 5% all the way around. I usually have the shades in the top but having them out makes it easier to see with the extra light shining in.

my tint guy told me the same thing he said GM told him that it would crack....so i didn it myself w/ walmart tint but has anyone that has them tinted have this problem?? i had mine for a year @ 5% w/ no prob in the hot *** SO FL sun all day everydayand nothing went wrong....... but on a side note the ttop shades are well worth it my 02 z didnt come with em but my gf's 00 z has em and there the ****.
