Default Tinted the Tails with VHT "thumbs up"!!!

Decided to go ahead and tint the tails for a new look on the car and am very happy with how they turned out, nice smooth and shiney too! let me know what you think. thanks

i can get some tonight i suppose, the light actually shines through very well for how dark i tinted them.

sand the lights with 600 grit, clean them, spray the VHT on (i did 2 pretty good coats so more like 3) let dry for 30 mins or so, then i sprayed 3 good coats of clear, let dry throughout the day and night then wetsanded with 2000 grit and the final step is buffing them... i used a big powerball and drill to buff.

Definatly came out awsome!! I did my side marker lights and they came out pretty good.

^ yea my side markers have been done for a while about a year, finally did the tails.

Cool, I'm going to order some and do my side markers and my front corners.. what type of clear did you use?

i used clear from wall mart its called Krylon clear "non yellowing" i dont like duplicolor...

Clear out of a can aint to bad actually depending on which kind, i did my side markers that way. Id post pics but i dont wana thread hijack

i could care less if you posted your pics, go for it... lol

crazy, doesn't even list plastic on the front altough it does say "more" does it show plastic on the back? Obviously it worked, because yours turned out perfect.

Where did u buy the VHT Spray? I would really like to do this for my side markers and then maybe my tale lights.

Some auto parts stores carry them. When I first did my corners and side markers, none in my area did. But, O'Reillys just started stocking it on shelves, which made me decide to do my tails. I need to redo them though, because they don't look the best, and I messed up the passenger side one by dropping it while it was still wet.
