Default Where to buy a triple gauge pod question

I will be buying a triple gauge pod but I was wondering if the ones that extend the whole length replace the stock one or do they just fit over it? I would like one that completely replaces it.

How does the color match an ebony interior too?

Which one looks better, a full length or the short section?

to my knowledge no one makes a full replacement. all of them will slip fit over the stock pillar and secure with push pins. the autometer 3 pillar pod IS full length though. they fit pretty well.

I'd go with the full length one..Looks better IMO... Color match is good. I still need to get another gauge before i put mine back in. Wish those interceptor gauges were cheaper

I got my full length autometer 3 gauge pod from summit, and it matches my ebony interior quite well. It does just slip over the original pillar, but you can't even tell its a separate piece since it covers the whole thing.

I want a pillar pod pretty bad, but i refuse to buy one that just slips over and screws in to the stock one.

I PM'd 6litereater about making one since he posted a thread some time back about wanting ideas for new projects. Here was his response:

Send me a pillar and a pod and I can have them grafted for you but not something I can have mass produced (needs injection molding). Would be one-offs like my double din bezels...
SO...it could be done, but i'm not at a stage in my build where i can devote whatever funds would be necessary. It may not be very costly at all, but i need to allocate funds towards making the car move under its own power before i do cosmetic stuff like this. I don't want to flood Mark with other peoples' requests for parts, but if you're serious you might hit him up and see what can be done. Maybe someone else who isn't quite as busy could step in and make the part.
