Default Airbag Removal

I was searching around and couldnt find anything- Im trying to "slim" down for the track next year, already pulled the heater core, pass airbag, wiper motor/arms, etc..... But I want to keep the car as "stock/sleeper" as possible- a couple days ago, I was in the column tightening up my tilt- loose torx- and was looking at the airbag in the wheel itself. Has anyone taken it out and put the "shell" back in the wheel?? Any pics or suggestions/how to's would be much appreciated!!!!!!
Thanks in advance-
Jeremy

i dont think thats possible i think that the bag and the cover are all one piece. im sure you could make something up like pull the cover apart and make something work. make sure you post up pics also.

Touch power to the yellow wire.

I think there's an Airbag module thing somewhere in there.. something is telling me somewhere near the drivers side seat, or the console or something? I don't remember. Someone will chime in for you.

That was it, lol. If it makes you feel any safer, after you disconnect everything just work from outside the door and pull it apart, just in case.

lol. you could always try ratchet straping it down so if it does blow in theory it should help it from blowing up into your face or atleast slowing it down

you need to wait 30 minutes after the power is disconnected, reason being is becuase the airbag system has it's own remote power source. it decharges after about 30 minutes.
