Could someone that has a Black WS6 with the "Afterthoughts" chrome grille pieces please post a pic. I am planning on purchasing some but can't wait to see how they might look! Thanks!

I thought it was just "Chrome Look". So basically its just painted a high gloss silver? I'm guessing, I haven't seen them before. I was thinking of painting them silver. But I've ordered the 30th anniversary stickers for my black ws6 in silver. Racing stripes starting witht eh firebird logo and the side "feathers". I like the ram air "chrome" pieces but I don't want the car to look cluttered. I would like to see those pieces installed though. Just for fun..

Hello, have you seen the HPA billet inserts? They look very sweet, not to mention the matching side vent covers <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
I'm definitely getting them <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Thank you HPA <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

hey ND4SPD
I noticed on your signature that you have a Direct Flo Lid from LS1 motorsports and an SLP Bellow...
How did you install the bellow? didnt the Lid take a lot of space? did you end up cutting the bellow? mine doesnt fit for some odd reason

To answer some of your questions...
The chrome grilles are not simply painted, but are done with a special process called vacuum metalizing where aluminum is evaporated onto the surface of the object. I should have mine by next week as they are already shipped.
The side vents come out fairly easy by reaching through fender opening with door open and squeezing tabs.
I saw the HPA billet grilles and they look good but I am trying to keep the factory look with the honeycomb design. Also, I noticed screws holding the billet side vents on from the outside which would probably require modification.
To 2002_TAWS6... I had no problem at all with installing the SLP bellow on the Direct-flo lid. I did no cutting whatsoever. What is the problem on yours as to why it won't fit. If you tell me exactly what's happening maybe I can check mine to see what is different.

www.afterthoughtsauto.com stopped selling these becase the chrome would turn yellow. I don't know if anyone still sells these. They look good though.

I just spray painted my side vents silver ('00 TA). Looks like silver plastic, but I like it. Putting Chrome in there might be a bit much IMO, as I think it'd take away from the rest of the sexy car.
