Default Presidential Detailed: 1994 Porsche Turbo S 3.6

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a LONG time, I have been CRAZY busy the last two months and just haven't had the time to post-process all the pictures Ive taken. Well, Im getting back into the routine, I have over 20 cars I still need to post and more on the way! This car I am about to post really was an amazing machine. Ive always been a huge Porsche fan and the owner gave me the opportunity to drive this Turbo(well just say its no slouch even today! ) This car is kept meticulously clean, washed regularly, only runs on race gas, etc. However, a majority of the paint was the original single stage Guards Red and was beginning to fade and had some surface scratches, rids, etc. I was really surprised how well it turned around and the owner was just blown away that his 1994 Porsche will now turn more heads than some of the new ones!

NOTE: Please forgive me on some of the photographs, my camera is about half broken so it doesn't take the most consistent shots anymore. If anyone has a Nikon D3000, let me know how you like it!

Wash and Decontamination Process:
BLACKFIRE Gloss Shampoo Two-Bucket Wash With Grit Guards
BLACKFIRE PolyClay II Detailing Clay with BLACKFIRE Detailing Clay Bar Lubricant
Two-Bucket Wash with Microfiber Chenille Wash Mitts
Blow Dried/Big Blue III Drying Towel

Wheels:
P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner
Microfiber Chenille Wash Mitts(dedicated to wheels only)
E-Z Detail Brush

Interior:
1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium
Meguairs APC+
Vacuum
Stoner Invisible Glass

Front Compartment/Engine Bay:
Meguairs APC+
Various Brushes
Zaino AIO On All Painted Surfaces
Meguiars HyperDressing On All Hoses and Plastic Surfaces

Paint Correction:
3M Automotive Performance "Green" Tape
Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut Compound / Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool Pad
via Makita 9227 Rotary Polisher
Meguiar's M205 Ultra Finishing Polish / Lake Country Orange FLAT 6.5" Foam Pad
via Meguiar's G110 Dual-Action Machine Polisher
Zaino AIO On All Door Shuts
50/50 of 91% IPA/Distilled Water
Dragon Fibre Microfiber Towels

LSP:
THREE coats of BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection via G110 using a Lake Country Flat 6.5 inch Gold Concours Finishing Pad
TWO coats of BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax

When I arrived, the car was fairly clean already.

Here you can see some of the swirling, very minor for the age of the paint.

In this picture, you can see the door has faded a bit from the color of the fenders.

Washed and Clayed.

Original wheels cleaned(as well as the "Big Red" rotors)

After the wash, I began prepping the care by taping off any vulnerable edges or rubber moldings. I was having difficulties picking up the defects with my camera, although I performed 2-3 passes(some areas such as rear 1/4s required more work) with M105/PFW and followed with M205/Orange via DA for the correction work.

The wiper cowl was carefully corrected. BEFORE.

AFTER.

Passenger Front Fender after correction work, no LSP.

Passenger side door after correction work, no LSP.

Rear 1/4 Panel(required the most work out of any other part of the car). No LSP.

Original paint, still as glossy as day 1!

The sun decided to peak out while the car was still inside to show the true condition of the original paint.

Some final shots, my camera wasnt cooperating with the brightness so forgive the saturated look.

After three coats of Blackfire and two coats of Midnight Sun.

Good work as always. Those are by far my favorite Porches. It looks like the owner takes very good care of it.

I PMd you on Tampa racing a while back, but I don't have the PM anymore. What would the price be to do a 02 TA with polished TT2s. Paint is in pretty good shape, just want to keep it protected

you still need to come to chicago to do my car.. Before I put my car away this year, I had a guy do mine What a shitty job. I had to take it back 2 times to the guy.

My paint isn't in that bad of shape. It when in with some swirls and came out with the same swirls. I was

Then I called the guy to let him now about the paint, well i guess it looks better. I sort of just picked up the car, brought it home and threw a cover over and parked it for the winter. I will really see how it looks in the spring time. But I am still not happy

For some reason in my paint, I had a TON of little 1" verticle and horizontal 'scratches' What could those be? You can not even feel them with a finger nail..

Please, please, please, please come and detail my Trans Am
