Summit sport seats
Ok so my wife bought me the summit sport seats for xmas. Ive been having a hell of a time getting the brackets to fit just right that i had made. But it working, just needs a little tweeking.
New problem. Seat belts......
My factory seat belts cross right over the neck line, which is uncomfortable, and just down right dangerous.
I want to install my factory seat belt guides on these seats. But nobody can seam to tell me if they will work, do to the fact that not all seats have the kind of supports like fbody seats do.
Need some help guys........

I know you can put the guides on 6LE's seats, he has a writeup on how to do it, maybe someone will chime in with that one. He also sells add on guides for aftermarket seats you might look into. Heres a link.

Yeah, if you have a metal bar in the frame you can do what I did back in the day...
Basically, you drill through the seat material and into the bar and try to screw your factory guides in. Mine was a major PITA (and still comes off) as it is round bar in my frame.
I had to cut the leather with a razor blade, use a punch to try to dimple the bar, do my best to drill and tap it and then screw the guides in loosely as there is nothing for them to press against (if you screw all the way to the frame it bunches the seat up).
Easiest thing to do is buy the guides in the link that I make and just have them sewn on...

Most seats you can sew them on right on the seat though, I did it myself so it can't be too hard, lol!

FYI to anyone interested... They are now going to come with a stitching lined around them to look more like the 2010 Camaro guides.
I'm doing my best to make sure there is NO extra cost either...

Here is 6LITEREATER's thread on installing the stock seat belt guide on aftermarket MRC/Arizen/Recaro seats. The install for your seats may be similar:

They sit just a bit higher than stock. l take a little time to get used to it, but i think it will be worth it. They are comfortable, You do feel like you are stationery with the sides coming up on you, but that was the idea anyway.
Definenately worth all the hassel.
