It is a vinyl and it has air egress channels so you just lay it on fairly smooth and then you can push all the air out with your fingers if you don't have a hard card.

I'm so silly..

=> yes the mouse pad is functional and I did it mainly because I hated the way it came (stock) which showed finger oil traces after you used it. Also the EZ pass holder is probably the only thing I would CF vinyl wrap in my car.....besides the seat belts

Alright well....running off the idea of my previous post I tried wrapping one of the rear seatbelts that are out of my car just to see if it would be worth my time to do the fronts. . . IMO it came out pretty decent and I most likely do the fronts in the far future...took too much time. Just thought I'd share some pics in case you guys might be interested in doing it.

tight corners like that (at the edge by the release button) are a biiiiitch. I did my iphone case, and my friend's phone. They came out really nice, however I noticed on his that the corners are starting to back off already. Not really impressed with the longevity of the stuff... it's been less than a month since it was installed.

It will last 12+ years if installed correctly. Did you use primer and a heat gun on the edges?

yep. my iphone is holding up great, however I have it wrapped around the edges. His phone was curved around the corners and cut... now it's pealing up. I'm sure it's great for items that aren't handled as much like center consoles, etc.

Well dudes, i ended up covering my filler panel and b-pillar triangles again to show you guys what it looks like before you use your film to do you own. I don't really like it, but i might do some flat smoke film on the rest of the lights and see if it looks better...unless someone wants to buy this one off of me. I think the b-pillar triangle thing looks ok, but it's not for me either.

lol dude dont do what other people want, do what YOU want. I think they look good on the side pieces. I havent seen it done on the rear filler before. It's unique. The only question to ask is if it will hold up in the weather. Great pics, both of you!

We did a roof/hood on a vw, I just used scraps and it took me 5 min to slap it on there and cut it out...no big deal.

Always wondered if anybody would use this or vinyl to cover their bubbling sail panel......as a cheap alternative Looks pretty good when applied correctly

I had this same thought, but after talking with a buddy he explained that it needed to be smooth because the vinyl contours every bump making it hard to shrink up around bubbles. I think I will just do it right.

But hey it is a cheap alternative and it might not hurt to try.

Yeah i thought about that. Looks like this stuff has some texture. Figured it might be enough to hide it.

What about a SS hood insert from this stuff? Or even a manta stripe kit? Can anyone do that one?

Yeah, you just need the vector file (pattern) and you can put it on a plotter and cut it out just like any other vinyl.

I never responded about the covering bubbles on the b pillars, like pir7tr said, it contours pretty well but since it's a lot thicker and textured it might hide it. It won't really look worse than it does already, but i don't want anyone to spend 10-15 bucks per square foot (whatever this stuff costs) thinking it will hide something.
