Default painting inside t/a headlight cover

Had to fix my headlight motor this weekend and had an idea. Painting the black guard that goes around the healights to match the car. Just wondering if anyone else has done this or has pics. Searched and didn't see anything. Also wondering if it might mess with light output by getting rid of the black. Any input or feedback would be appreciated.

I did it and it looks factory. But then again I color matched the honey comb air vents behind the front fenders as well. It just gives the car a cleaner appearance.

I had mine painted along w/ the entire front end of my black t/a, about 2k miles ago. I don't have any pics of it on the car, but I did so happen to dig up a cellphone shot of them, after I picked it up from the paintshop....

I also smoothed out the driverside headlight lid aka !pontiac

I didn't paint mine, but I spray lined them since I was lazy. Don't have to worry about repainting them ever again.
