I can't find the link right now but GM wires DRLs different from everyone else, so any switchback bulb you buy probably will NOT behave like you're describing (white all the time regardless of lights on/off). I can't remember...it's something like how GM switches what are the low and high elements depending on whether lights are on.

here's a rough description of how the switchback is supposed to work...click on the diagram picture.

Hence the need for the DRL module perhaps

Nice quick response from Autolumination. Tracy said the SMT 60 towers have different circuitry than the 20s, 30s, and 48s. She is going to exchange my 60s for 48s. This should fix my problem. I'll keep the thread updated.

How do these compare in color to HIDs? I have 55 WATT 8ks in low and 35 watt 6ks in fogs... Will the color be similar?

I have these from where I bought my current car. Guy had wrecked another car and they were lying around so he gave them to me..

You can get them on Ebay for I believe 40$ or so brand new.

I'd say the white LED is probably in the 5-7k range?

Just got a reply they said not to install the 60's order the 48's and return the 60's for a refund. Im gonna wait to Skytower31 gets his 48's and see if he has any issues before ordering the 48's.

Yeah, everyone who has already ordered the 60s, shoot them an email and let them know you are following my thread and would either like to put your order on hold or exchange them for the 48s.

I sent my 60s back in the mail today. She said they only check for returns on Fridays so she won't process the exchange until next Friday and will have them back in the mail on Saturday. I should see them the week of 3/29 sometime.
