Default Presidential Detailing: 2008 BMW M3 Sedan

The new BMW sedan is an amazing car, I really enjoyed working on this one. Unfortunately it had a few defects even at its early age. The owner contacted me to get the car back into shape and looking the way it should!

Wash and Decontamination Process:
ONR Wash
BLACKFIRE PolyClay II Detailing Clay with
BLACKFIRE Detailing Clay Bar Lubricant
Two-Bucket ONR Wash with Microfiber Chenille Wash Mitts
Blow Dried/Big Blue III Drying Towel

Wheels:
P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner
Microfiber Chenille Wash Mitts(dedicated to wheels only)
E-Z Detail Brush

Interior:
303 Aerospace
Meguairs APC+
Vacuum

Front Compartment/Engine Bay:
Meguairs APC+
Various Brushes
Zaino AIO On All Painted Surfaces
Meguiars HyperDressing On All Hoses and Plastic Surfaces

Paint Correction:
3M Automotive Performance "Green" Tape
Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut Compound / Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool Pad
via Makita 9227 Rotary Polisher
Meguiar's M205 Ultra Finishing Polish / Lake Country Orange FLAT 6.5" Foam Pad
via Meguiar's G110 Dual-Action Machine Polisher
Zaino AIO On All Door Shuts
50/50 of 91% IPA/Distilled Water
Dragon Fibre Microfiber Towels

LSP:
TWO coats of BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection via G110 using a Lake Country Flat 6.5 inch Gold Concours Finishing Pad
One coat of BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax

There were some significant buffer trails and holograms throughout the car as well as some bird etching on the trunk and hood.

Bird etching on Hood.

Bird etching on trunk.

It was hard to capture the defects on this car for some reason, the swirls were there but very fine on the soft black BMW paint.

I started with the hood since it needed the most attention, I also spot sanded the area where the bird dropping had etched into the clear. Time was limited so I couldnt get as many shots as I would have liked too.

Test section, looks good to me!

I then moved onto the sides,

FINAL SHOTS after applying two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond Paint Sealant followed with a coat of Blackfire Midnight Sun Paste Wax.

the interior was clean already since the car was fairly new, there would be no difference between the pictures before and after, so I didnt take any. Although I suppose I should have just taken a couple final shots of it.

91% ( theres 70% and 91% ) Isopropyl alcohol . Mix it with distilled water and use it to get all the residue compunding left, off the paint before polishing
