asking "why" when it comes to appearance mods is probably the most pointless question ever.
people do appearance mods to get their car looking the way they want. its a matter of personal preference...
so it could simply be assumed that he likes the way reverse tilt hoods look, so he's considering it.

Why because it's cool and the Corvette does it, most of our car's use a few Corvette part's why not show off the heritage. Hell there's even people around with the Vette cross flag's on their Camaro's. Oh and I don't know who has done it but I know who sell's the kit.

ss performance- doesn't look like anyone else got anywhere with this
here JasonWW's thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-bod...ptor-hood.html
and a couple others

i agree, the rims are a bit much, for me. but i can appreciate different looks, and i like to see unique looking rides. Not a fan of cookie-cutter designed cars, that just follow the norm.

So before you tell me my question is pointless understand where I'm coming from
And I to had a "personal preference" to stand out and break up the look of my car "appearnce mods" I wasn't sure if I liked them so I asked advice from forum members and I got the answer that I was leaning towards and so the gs stripes are gone
Sorry OP I'm done hijacking your thread
Good luck I hope it turns out good whatever you decide but please post pics when you are done

As for looks it is def different and I am sure it can be done. As for working on the car its going to be a PAIN.
If your in a situation where you need to remove the motor, your def pulling the hood but lit all depends if you care about that stuff.
I have a feeling it will work like the hoods that I had on my old 1988 Buick LeSabre, it was a clam shell that popped up, then pulled foward and tilting at the same time. In order to get proper clearence for the beak and the bumper.
