97+ DashPad Anyone know of a company that has 97+ Dashpads still in stock? I spent 4hours and 10 emails looking. None have them in stock or no longer carry them. I know Gm Discontinued them (But hey you can still get 93-96 from GM
) At any rate. I dont want to buy some cheep *** plastic cap and I have looked and searched and after getting ripped off on ebay I am starting to lose hope. If I find one, I am going to have it wrapped.
PS No I cant fix the old one, its broken beyond repair and a couple pieces vanished.

For those of you that need the part numbers and where to find the dash pad or CRASH PAD as GMPARTSDIRECT.com calls them here you go:
If it's a 95 or 96 T/A then the part is #10274437 and here is an illustration (it's #3 called a CRASH PAD). Under the Instrument Panel/Instrument Panel section of the catalog.

I purchased a GM replacement a few years ago for $220 (2006 I think) and it started to peel like a bad sun burn this year - looked worse than cracking. Anyway, I decided to give Coverlay a try and ordered their cheaper replacement. It is black, same finish, and fits on top with silicone. I was thinking it would look bad and an obvious cover, but it actually looks really good. The center section has a dark mesh too. It was $107 on bay plus shipping. I can't attest to how long it will last, but supposedely it is UV treated yada yada....we'll see. I'll post a photo a little later....
Are you talking about the piece between the dash and the windshield or the dash itself? I just pulled an entire dash today and what a PITA! I think its almost worth living with it cracked. I know the piece between the windshield and the dash was available a few months ago from GM but I am not sure about now.

Whats bullshit is I can still get a 93-96 Dash Pad from GM...but the 97-02 is discontinued...WTF GM!!! WTF!!! I just recently found a used one in awesome condition. And Im having that bitch professionally wrapped.
