We will get it looking good don't worry

I did some more little things tonight on the engine bay... removed some little clips on electrical connections and painted them black, removed a sticker I missed on the back of the battery, removed some mesh wrap on some hoses that looked like **** over time, got my 85mm maf and clear air lid and silicone hose all fabbed together.. just need to figure out what sticker I'll put on the clear air lid.. I have an FTP one that came with it, but I was thinking about an LS1Tech sticker

Oh I also ordered some new black oxide finish button head bolts for the valve covers and coil brackets.. I painted some of the ones on there already but the finish gets rubbed off easily, so hopefully these bolts work out..

I'll be doing something soon about the hose clamps because they are really starting to **** me off lol.. Probably getting worm hose clamps and using heat shrink as mentioned earlier in this thread.. seems like a good fix

please see attached pictures.

did you relocate the ground circled in yellow in the before picture under the radiator support?

if so, did you have to do anything special to the radiator support like clearance something by removing some of the plastic material or was it a straight bolt up and go?

thanks

JD

That looks amazing! Anyways I see that you removed your a/c. What did you use to cover the fittings that go in to the heater box? Did you use vacuum caps or something like that?

Also you said you were from Michigan, about 30 mins from Ann Arbor? I am from Saline, just about 10min south of Ann Arbor.

I just went to Autozone and got a pack of black rubber caps in the HELP! section. There was like 10 in the package and it cost like $10 or so. I used the other caps for other **** so it worked out. I got lucky on the caps fitting though.

And yea man I think Ed has told me about ur car before... I haven't been to Michigan with my car ever though

Here's a sneak peak of what it officially looks like with the clear air lid I love the way it turned out. I am still waiting on things from Emblem Pros and Speed Inc and some more in-depth pictures will be taken, and hopefully with a better camera too

I waited to put this on until I got my 85mm maf and a retune set up. I went to the shop yesterday and made 425 rwhp and 392rwtq .. no heads yet!

hey man i have some questions for you. hope you dont mind answering them for me.

did you use spray paint?

if so, what brand?

was it the high temp or just the regular?

did you clear anything? if so, what brand of paint did you use and was it high temp?

thank you.

*the reason i ask is i am pretty far along in my engine bay dress up and did not think to use any hi temp paint so I am trying to figure out if I need to go back and repaint stuff.

The only thing that sticks out to me now is the FRAM filter... the orange doesn't go... a good K&N would be better in my opinion.. looks great though
