thank you.

*the reason i ask is i am pretty far along in my engine bay dress up and did not think to use any hi temp paint so I am trying to figure out if I need to go back and repaint stuff.
I used Krylon Fusion black paint for the front bumper support, backs of headlights etc. For the coils I used paint for plastic. Rust-o-leum was the brand for the paint for plastic. And no sir I did not clear anything and it has all held up just fine no problems or chipping what so ever.

make a Photobucket account and use the [IMG] code and copy and paste that into a reply like this

got some more updated pictures finally after some pieces came in.. lighting was shitty so pics aren't really that great.. I also have a rev extreme catch can that I got from Lashway Motorsports that I'm in the middle of painting glossy black that will be going on soon. Updated pieces in this pic are:

- Speed Inc PCM cover
- Emblem pros stainless steel etched fuse box covers modified the way I wanted them
- Emblem pros pass. side head plate with "Camaro SS" etched into it

Let me know what you guys think and if you've got any suggestions for future stuff. I am wanting to definitely paint the brake master and clutch master because they kind of stick out in the engine bay. As well as the A/C ports on the firewall.

Here's some more pics I took the next day

I've been considering painting my FAST intake.. does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking glossy black with white lettering and the 92mm to be in red lettering.

I think you should avoid black. The intake makes the engine pop out at you. Only colors maybe Silver,White, or Red.

I've thought that too.. I like the "pop" look.. and I have also thought of doing white, silver, and red. For silver I would probably try and get a close match to the color of the heads. I probably won't go white or red.

With the hood closed and the engine sitting still I had none.. However I forgot that the engine moves around while driving and after I had driven it for a bit, there was a wide scratch on it. I have just been continually wetsanding and polishing it out but there is another thing I am going to try but I haven't got around to it yet. Thanks for the comment!

I used photobucket. Make a name and upload your photos from your camera or computer to there. Then use the IMG code and paste it in a post like this.

What lid do you have? I just wetsand and buff mine out after it gets scratched enough again. There are other solutions I haven't got around to yet. First one is to trim the bottom of the air lid support base so it sits lower on the frame thus bringing the lids height down. Another is to elongate the air lid support base holes where the 10mm bolts are so the support base moves farther towards the firewall. Hope those solutions make sense. I plan to try one of them and report back.

i will upload and post up soon but i have the FTP lid 104mm clear which is what i think you have. However my 4 inch silcone hose to my tb, doesnt go over the lid but inside the lid. it is just too big. I know that the lid is limiting my hood , it sits higher and i can feel me close the hood on it. my idea is to just get a soft strip on the underside of the hood where it meets. thats all i can think of. also i kept my AC but i also painted the headlight brakets, air lid base, the whole front half of my car. i did fill in the holes on the fender and i also tried to hide the fuse boxes but it was just rubbing my tire so i had to change that. i dont have a fast, i have a 96mm typhoon which i painted black. i even have the same fuel line hose as you do, the one that comes from the hardline. It looks so much better. you did a good job on your car man. congrats

Anyone else have any suggestions for stuff to do to the engine bay? Here is my current list of "Things to Do"

- Glossy black battery cover
- Paint air lid support base glossy black
- Paint hose clamps black
- Paint A/C port thing black (where the 2 black rubber caps are now)
- Paint shock tower bolts black

Anything else I should do??
