Exclamation FINALLY got my HID foglights, install help

Alright finally got my HID foglights from DDM tuning. What's the best way to install these? Do I just pull the stock bulbs out and insert the HID bulbs into the fog light housing? Where should I mount the ballasts?

Any install tips/instructions would be greatly appreciated (not only for me, but for others too).

Thanks!

There is no real good place to mount the ballast.. I just zip tied mine up out of the way where it would fit. The screws in the fog light housing might have to be backed out a little bit in order for the new HID bulb to fit.

Its all basically just plug n play. There are 2 extra wires on the bulb and harness that you don't need. Plug the car's harness that went to the original bulb into the ballast, and the 2 plastic connectors, male to female, male to female. The other 2 wires can be pulled out from the rubber coupling thing you don't need them.

If the HID does not light up at first, flip the connector that you plugged into the ballast. The purple wire of the 2 wires should be closer to the middle of the ballast if that makes sense.

Mount the ballasts on the metal bumper support... I have my fogs and my lows all mounted there. Just use some heavy duty velcro. Also I did not have to adjust my housings at all, just replace the stock bulbs with the HID ones, it is kind of pain to get it in, but if you have skinnier arms you can do it without having to remove anything.
You can see the edge of the silver ballasts in this pic, on each side of the center support.

Ok, I tried to remove my fog light bulbs, but they were stuck. I ended up taking out the whole fog light assembly, looks like the stock bulbs have warped the connection to the fog light housing. I'll take some pics tomorrow of the warped opening on the fog light housing.

I'm not sure I understand your question. You're supposed to unplug the connection going to the stock fog light bulb, then remove the fog light bulb from the fog light housing. The wire that you unplugged from the stock fog light bulb will go to the new ballast (part of the DDM Raptor HID kit). The existing wire attached to the ballast will go to the new HID bulb.

Check the connection that goes TO the ballast, make sure that you have the inserted the right way. Your ballast should have a "+" sign near the empty port, make sure you didn't insert the connection the wrong way.

See post 4 on how to hook up the wires. I followed that and haven't had any issues.
