Default LEDs in cluster

iv seen people do the LED color change or the ls1 style gauge clusters. just wondering if its possible to do this in the lt1 camaro gauge clusters. id like to put blue LEDs in. anyone know if you can do it?

Good question. I only ever see LS style ones changed out. I'm sure you can though.

Pull your gauge cluster out and look behind it for the bulbs.

yea i have taken out the bulbs before but didnt know how to replace them with LEDs. anyone know how this is done?

Yes you can. Do a search for Bulb to LED list and it will give you both listings for LT and LS gauge clusters.

post 35 breaks it down. toughest part is the cluster bulbs have the filament ends pulled through the bottom of the socket then up the outside where its soldered lightly. makes for a fun day of little wire nonsense.

^ I have no idea about the LT's gauges. On LS's, everything is plug and play except for the radio and odometer lights. Someone correct me if I'm wrong since I've not done mine to know yet.

For the odometer you have to solder the bulbs in. Don't know about the radio.

You have to straighten the leads so you can push them out the bottom of the socket then bend them up onto the contacts. You will see what I mean when you take one out. Test each one as you go or test it before you put it back together.
