Default fake exhaust tips

it seems like I'm having to adjust my Borla tips daily. I'm very picky so even a few degrees lean in either direction will catch my eye

I'm considering unbolting them at the connection roughly 12in back and putting on some short turn-downs and bolting or even welding some Corsa clones to the bumper support using some custom brackets

has anyone attempted this?
and, if so, does putting turn downs just before the bumper affect the sound inside the car?

TIA

Turndowns will make it resonate more being directly underneath the car and pointed down and out instead of just out.

I don't think a Camaro could pull off fake tips, you would probably see that they weren't connected and it would look ghetto (if you have a Camaro)

I think a TA could pull it off with the bumper valance...maybe.

it has been done before, i cant remember the guy who did it. it was on a red t/a. he basically turned the end of the exhaust tip turning up and crushed the ends together. and then he added turn downs just like you said.

the thread name was "post your most unique mods"

Or consider throwing $20 at an exhaust shop to weld those suckers on. I have never had any exhaust tips stay on correctly with bolts.

I have fake tips.I left the muffler there too though, so you can't really tell. They are just the factory tips, the rectangular ones. I didn't want anything chrome or shiny on the car, so I left the factory ones. I have bailing wire that double loops around the pipes so they stat in place. And it never moves.

Everything on my exhaust is welded. Including the tips cause a year or two ago, there were people stealing anything off an exhaut system they could cause the cars they were stealing them off of had half of there exhaust clamped on and so I had mine welded in hopes no one would really mess with it or if they did, it would take them a little bit longer to get whatever off.
