Here is a brake reservoir cap billet cut with a mill - not a lathe. We have the ability to actually do the knurling On the caps. Other competitors out there do not. Get the caps that fit the factory look.
Anyway, these are coming out really soon and they will be availlable in satin, chrome and black chrome finish as well, and we will also be doing these with GM logos on the tops if you'd like. Remember, if you're looking at competitor's parts to wait just a little longer for a superior product.
Here is a preview:

Underside cut to fit as well - not just a round hole that slips over the cap. These are precise!

That's not unreasonable for a satin finish, but we are not sure. We have to go to Minnesota next weekend to look at some new stuff
, and that's going to make us play catch up with orders for a few days. Trust me, we are working around the clock to get these things in order.
As far as chroming goes, we are curretly in talks with a very large plating company to get these done ASAP when they come of our machines, so we can get them to you as quick as we can. Obviously, chroming will cost more, and will likely increase lead time unless we stock a bunch.

Anything on machined face center caps for oe wheels. I have a set of c6 z06 wheels black with machined face and would love a set of center caps to match closer without the corvette logos.

Roger,
I talked to you a couple weeks ago about maybe being able to do a stainless steel piece on the Trans Am to cover up the black part in the middle of the bumper that the stainless steel bumper support piece leaves exposed. Just wondering if you had a chance to take a look at that yet??

Tom,
I looked at it, and something might be able to be made for it, but it would require some time to design it. And maybe some time to figure out the best way to make it.

We have been experimenting with different fixtures, and different tooling paths, speeds, etc...
The caps come out the same on each method but the machine time, and tooling changes are different, so we made a final decision on which way to do these.
It took us time to trial and decide, but we will be making a lot of these sets and time is important.
Thanks, Roger

We had about three different approaches to making these, and had to decide which one to use. We tried different fixtures, different size tools, and different tooling paths. This is what was taking us the time up until now.
Since we will be making these for about 5 different cars we needed to get the most efficient method. A time savings was very important. So we have settled on the production method that we will implement across all cap lines. We also had to talk to a few chrome companies, and get quotes.
We have material ordered, and this upcoming weekend we are planning to make some caps, for the F-body cars first. 2010 Camaro is next. Then 3 Corvette generations, GTO's, as well as Mustangs.
So if all of our material arrives, we should be good to go. We are selling a record number of items this year, and time is also scarce.
We do not play around too much. These are coming out, and anyone that knows us, knows they are coming hard. We would rather have the best caps around, rather than rush you guys something anyone with a small metal lathe can make. The mill can accurately reproduce the same caps time after time without variance. There will not be any electrical tape used as a "shim" involved to make these fit the circumference your caps. You will not be dissapointed. We have spent a substantial sum of money to make sure of these things.
These will be available in:
1) Satin finish: with our without etchings, to include custom designs, factory etching, or GM logos on the tops.
2) Chrome finish: with our without etchings, to include custom designs, factory etching, or GM logos on the tops.
3) Black chrome: with our without etchings, to include custom designs, factory etching, or GM logos on the tops.
Thanks for asking, and I will keep you guys posted. Sorry for the longer times than expected. We just want to get it correct from the beginning.
Thanks, Roger
