Whew, that's dark. I'd black out the sides and rear but the windshield, that'd have to have the lightest tint available for me but it does look good.

I wanted 50% for my windshield but the guy I use only had 40% so that's what I had to go with if I wanted it done.

If you have mods done to your car that are no no's then your kinda opening up the door for the cops to find them even tho you have a doc note for the front windshield what about the other mods???

In Cali you can't mod nothing

I have 5% all around (except the windshield obviously). At night time my rear view is useless, all I see are headlights. Same goes for the side mirrors. I've also had to roll down the windows a couple times before crossing an intersection. But like I said, my eyes are slightly off to begin with.

I never got my windshield done, cancelled the appointment. $150 can be put to better use lol

Crunk you don't get fucked with by the cops out there? I have to stay out of certain towns with 17% on the sides on my TA and now I have the G tinted as well to 20% on the sides. I wish I would've got the windshield in the G done. Would look slick as ****!

A buddy of mine has 5% all around including 5 on his windshield. And suprisingly it is not that bad at night. We drove around and I really didnt know until he told me, I just thought his headlights sucked. I have 20% around on my car, and a 5% strip on the top of my windshield. I want 35 or 50 completely on my windshield. I think with the 5% strip on top, it will fool cops making them think I just have the strip. I think I will go 50%, because I'm not looking just to make it dark, any tint will reduce UV and glare which is what I want.

I have mine tinted on my 02 Bird. I went with a 50% because it meters at 40% when it's on. Then I had them put a 20% strip on the top. From the outside, you can't see a passenger in the car if the t-top shades are in and all you see as far as tint is the legal strip. I haven't gotten a question about it yet! I know here in TN you bring your Dr's note to where you register the tags and they give you a "Tint Exempt" decal to put on your plate.

I don't even notice the tint during the day nor at night from inside other than the reduced glare. Just do it and get the top strip too so it's not noticed.

Left thumbnail is before and right is compared to my Trans am's untinted windshield.

In NY, the red flag for a tinted windshield is the reg/inspection stickers. The tint, no matter how light, is VERY obvious over the stickers and that's what the cops look at. I can't speak for anywhere else, but I can tell you also in NY, even with a doctor's note, you can still be issued a summons. It really comes down to the officer's discretion. You will then have to plead not guilty, go to court, show the judge the note, and it will most likely be dismissed. Don't be fooled into thinking the note is a guarantee.

I'll have to find them again, but they make these pimp little things that you actally stick the inspection sticker too, then it too the tint, and you can pull it on and off as many times as you want without damaging the tint.

The only thing is you might have trouble talking the inspection guy into it. I know a guy though.

^It's called Static Cling Clear Vinyl.
I went to a vinyl/banner/sign shop and picked up a little square of the stuff for $3. Attached my sticker to it, and done.
That other brand that was listed before "Sticker Shield" or something wasn't stocked in any locations locally, and with $10 shipping for a $3 part, I say my way is better (same stuff anyway).
