Ya I hear that, but I really want to get back on the road. I found a set of Toyo R888 tires for $600 shipped, but I think I have to stick with the Nittos and have a tire that will last more than 5k miles.

But this weekend I took out the rear axle so I can extend the shock mounts, but I have to get some 3/16" square stock to accomplish that. But I got the passengers side shock assembly put in and got both wheel bearings back in. I painted the welded up sway bar mounts, bolted up the SFCs but have to wait to weld them in until the car is back on the ground.

And I ran into another problem, my driveshaft adapter for the 8.8 is either wrong or I have the wrong adapting u joint. The driveshaft side is right, but the yoke for the axle is too narrow, or the u joint body is too wide.

So I'll see how much extra cash I'm going to have on friday, and figure out what I'm going to order. Right now it looks like 2 tires and some power steering lines.

Updated the first post. I changed my mind about what mufflers I was going to use, and updated some other changes I made.

I'm going to give the magnapack mufflers a shot, but with no cats and some stepped headers I think they may be a little loud, but I shall see And another plus is I won't have to cut the car up as much and my be able to keep the rear seat.

And to top things off, my wife and I are back onto 50+ hour weeks so the parts should start rolling back in soon. Its so close I want a big push to get it done.

Stay tuned....

I loved running a quiet muffler and using an electric cutout. Best of both worlds.

I know the feeling, my house has been on the back burner for about 5 years. But once the car is finished I have to remodel a couple of rooms and start buying new windows. But after that I get to start on a new garage but thats a couple years off

Tomorrow I'm ordering 2 Nitto NT555s, power steering line kit, and all of the parts for the rear brakes. It feels good to be finally getting parts again. Next week I should be able to get everything to finish it up this round of the mods. I'm glad that I decided to stick with the WS6 sway bar, I checked on the Hellwig front bar and its on backorder until December So it looks like I may end up getting the Hotchkis front bar later on this summer, but thats later on down the road

Rear tires and power steering lines showed up today. Tires look huge, they measure in at just under 13" sitting on the floor, I would say that they don't run small like some people have said. I'm going to drop them off today and pick them up on Saturday. Then I'll let the hammering begin. I'm afraid that I will have to order some new spacers, but I have some test fitting to do before I make up my mind.

I almost can't believe that I'm putting the same size tire on the front. But I guess I have come too far, and I keep hearing they fit better on the front than they do on the rear.

The Nitto 555R and 555RII tend to be a bit narrower than advertised. Afaik, the regular 555's are the proper width.

What tire sizes are you running?

315/35/17s on 17x11 ZR1s with a 50mm offset. Fronts are deep lug and the rears are deep dish Eventually I plan on switching to the Kuhmo XS tires 315s up front and 335s on the rear. But I wanted to see how 315s on all 4 felt before I get too far into it. If I go back to 9.5" fronts I will more than likely stick with 315s out back

Wow, I just checked Nittos website and they do make that size. Used to be they only went up to 275. Thats cool. If they had them back when I was running 17's I would have got them for sure. The drag radial had good grip, but had too soft a sidewall for handling, plus only 6/32 tread. Yours is about 10/32 I guess. Plus a medium sidewall and a good price as well. Nice.

I'd like to move to 345 or 355 in the future. I did see a 405 , but not in my rim size.

Holy ****, 405 what size rims do you have?? IIRC your running 19s right?

But the NT555s look great, I'm glad I spent the money and got good tires, it will make me appreciate the suspension setup more I'm sure. I almost bought the Toyo R888 but some of the reviews were saying that 3-5k miles and they were shot. Plus I like doing burnouts and doughnuts so a tire thats suppose to last 35k miles is a better fit for me.

I can't wait until Saturday when I can pick the wheels and tires back up, they are going to look amazing mounted up. Then I get to see how my stance is really going to look

Ok big order was made today....2 more Nittos, Flowmaster 3" X pipe, 3" Magnaflow Magnapacks (4" body), 6 3" stainless band clamps, and I'm picking up the rear brakes tomorrow.

Next weekend is gonna be a thrash to try and get alot done, I honestly can't wait. Its gonna be fun as hell putting the final pieces together and lowering it down off the lift for the first time in 8 months. I can not wait to see the stance

My busted *** couch and a Watts Link from Midwest Chassis.

Picked up my tires from the shop today and they look real good. I was thinking that the 315s would be bigger than they are, but I guess 335s are in my future. I extended the axle side shock mounts today and did a little more work on the 4 link. Tomorrow is my dads day and he wants to go fishing, but I'm going to try to get the carpet out and cut some holes for the fuel pump wiring harness (moving it to clear the tailpipes), get the plates for the 4 link mounts bolted up, and start building some brackets for the 4 link itself.

I also test fitted the rear wheels on the front and everything looks like it clears well. I need to get a touch of negative camber to tuck the tops of the tires in, but its also at full droop right now. I'm going to try to snag some pics tomorrow and get this back up-to-date.

Tuesday I got some parts again...

6 of these...

2 of these...

My x pipe should be here tomorrow, I hope, and I get to pick up my front wheels and tires from the shop.

BTW I measured the section width of the Nitto NT555, laying flat on the floor with a straight edge across the top and they measure 12.5" mounted on an 11" wheel.

Good to hear, I hope they give me the sound I have been trying to find for 4 years or so.

I got my "X Pipe" from the brown truck today. Its more like a shitty h pipe, the two pipes merge together and there is about a 1/2"x2" slot where the gasses can cross. ******* expensive POS!!!! Worst part is that its $200, I got it because it was the narrowest x pipe kit I could find.

This weekend I was planning on building my exhaust, but I think I have to send this junk back. So I may end up using the Speed Daddy Y pipe with one of the magnapacks dumped Or I can just bite my tongue and use it and see how it sounds, maybe I'll like it anyway. I can not wait for this build to be over, it has been a complete nightmare from the beginning

But some good news for me, I don't have to work this weekend, and next weekend is a 3 day break. Time to get my *** in gear and button this thing up and start thrashing on it again before the summers over. I can't wait to see how driving it with a quiet rear end will be like haha
