Default 2002 BMW M5 26hr correction detail

This M5 was dropped off for a 2 day correction and needed every bit of that time and more. In fact it needed 3 days, so I pulled an allnighter to give it that extra time. Much sleep was caught up on after the owner took it home smiling

Process:

Exterior
-Foamed with Dawn
-Rinsed and Dawn wash
-Megs APC 4:1 on wheels/tires
-Daytona EZ detail brush
-Swissvax Wheel brush
-Clayed with Z18 and Megs LT as lube
-Tires with Zaino Z16
-Exhaust polished with Mothers Aluminum polish with #0000 steel wool

Correction

-Megs 105 on orange LC 5.5
-Megs 205 on white LC 5.5
-Menzerna 106FA on black LC 5.5

LSP

-Zaino ZAIO
-Zaino Z5pro
-Zaino Z6

Doesn't look too bad here right?...

eh, not so good afterall!

Because I was pulling and allnighter I had no time for correction pics as I normally would. But I did at least get a couple to show the correction, though I wish I had taken more.

Top corrected with M105 and orange pad, so only compounded so far. Refining polishing yet to be done. Bottom part uncorrected.

Finished pics. Overcast day unfortunately.

Thanks for lookin!

As if I didn't love your work already Jeff, you pulled out an E39 M5.

You owe me a change of pants.

E60

Two questions Jeff...

1. Any reason you use the 5.5's instead of 6.5's?
2. Where do you get #0000 steel wool

E60 win coming soon

1. I have more control with the 5.5" pads, and they go more places. The 6.5" ones are too stiff IMO.
2. Just about any hardware store actually. Just make sure its the #0000, not #000.

It's amazing what you are able to do to a car with a few days. If that was my car, I would probably just shake my head and think there was no hope for it. You're work truely is amazing

any idea what color this is?

i love how deceptive some bmw colors are; my dad had a z3 that would look black/blue but was actually purple...

im thinking of a bmw color for my mustang project

also what do you recommend for deep scratches?
