Default Just bought some oem t-top shades

When I purchased my car last year it did not come with t-top shades. I bought some oem shades out of a Z28 off ebay and they just got here.

How do these install? I thought they just popped in somehow.

Velcro huh? Is that how they attach from the factory? Makes sense. Maybe I should have bought the yo-fab ones, lol.

Ha, alright then- velcro it is even though it's a little ghetto. Yeah I see on the back of the shades a circular spot where the velcro probably was at some point, thanks!

Mine just sit in place without velcro. They are big enough to where the headliner basically holds them into place.

I bought those. I am happy with them. I leave them off in the winter and put them back in over the summer.

I'm an idiot, they are in secure without velcro, lol. Thank god for these things, I am tired of always having to wear a hat in the day!

When I had my Camaro I never used the shades, and actually sold them. I liked the glass roof

I kept mine from the LT1 I had, and just this afternoon, I put them on a shelf in my garage. I never used them and I figured most people don't use/have them. Maybe I'll eBay them.

I'm keeping the glass look, soooo sexy. Although, has anyone ever tint the glass from the inside?

i've asked several shops to tint them for me , but they refuse to, they argue that they might break....

Hmm, doesn't seem to make sense, I think it would work just fine.

All my windows were tinted when I bought the car, including the t-tops. I don't see how you could drive this car in the summer without sunglasses and a hat without the t-tops being tinted.

There's a theory that tinting the Ttops would cause them to break/shatter.
I've even heard of people spray painting the glass black... *cough* ghetto *cough*

I love my hardtop, but if I ever had glass above my head, I'd tint them for sure. If you cant get a shop to do it, do it yourself, it's cheap and easy.

It's slightly tinted factorywise, I have no problem the way they are naturally. My 5% back and 35% sides gives them a darker shade as well.

How much did you buy them for? I still have mine off my old Camaro sitting in my room... My Z28 doesn't have t-tops so I need to get rid of them.
